“We love to visit and eat/drink at Public House 701 when we are in town. The owners are hands on and has created a very cool vibe restaurant and successfully brought together an A team chef and drink mixologist. The front of the house staff are friendly and makes sure you have a good experience. Everything I have eaten has been so delicious. The patio was almost full the night I was there, taking advantage of the awesome weather. With a separate room off the bar area, it would be perfect for events and group parties. I cannot wait to go back.”
“Highly recommend Carvers if you’re in town. Our server was very friendly and attentive and the beers are awesome. We had a pretzel for an app which was amazing and the green chile cheese burger and the Alaskan salmon bowl for dinner. Both were delicious. Definitely will be back.”
“Enjoyed a great lunch today, I had a cider slushie and we tried two different sandwiches both of which were delicious! I can't wait to go back and try something else. Such a friendly inviting place!”

“If you ever have the opportunity to visit Perbacco be prepared for the most amazing experience! After a long morning of sight seeing we stopped in for what we thought would be a quick slice of pizza. We ended up staying hours! The owner, Paolo, is THE KINDEST man! He brought us into the kitchen to show us how to make pizza, brought out different kinds and had us join his family at their table. We had the best conversation with he and his daughter. The Bianca pizza is to die for. I wish we could travel back to Copenhagen just for this pizza. He also taught us about the slow rise and high quality grains are easier in digestion. I was shocked this pizza did not hurt my stomach. Long overdue post but so grateful for THE highlight of our Denmark trip being this completely unplanned, amazing experience at Perbacco! Thank you Paolo.”
“Spicy tuna rolls are unmatched. So fresh. Mo is always a friendly face! They consistently have great customer service, excellent quality food and our orders are always correct. 5+ stars”
“I liked the combo vegetarian, yummy and many varieties at good price”

“Love coming here on our trips. I actually know James from Ranching. This time however the lady that took our order was rude, and when the order arrived there were items missing which I know I had asked for but they said was not on the ticket. However the young guy was very nice and helped us there after! He needs to get the employee of the month! The little market was fun to and just like I remembered it!”
“My husband and I discovered Akami last year and loved it! We ate there twice within a month (and we live in AZ)! Had the opportunity to swing by again today and it was just as good! Highly recommended!!”
“Fantastic breakfast! The. Best. Coffee. Plus some really creative cocktails and coffee drinks with Colorado booze! Love that❤️”
“Highly recommend Carvers if you’re in town. Our server was very friendly and attentive and the beers are awesome. We had a pretzel for an app which was amazing and the green chile cheese burger and the Alaskan salmon bowl for dinner. Both were delicious. Definitely will be back.”
“Delicious food. Generous portions. Excellent, friendly customer service.”
“Best BLT I’ve had in a long time. Clean fresh atmosphere. Budget friendly. Friendly employ.”
“First time! The service is great, and the options all look so delicious. I got the superman and fell in love instantly. You can tell they make the wraps with care and dedication :) Definitely will be back for more!”
“Great food! It was mega busy but the staff was all in a super good mood and clearly enjoyed working together. Didn’t have to wait long for a table.”
“Wonderful food, service and ambiance.”
“best salad I have ever had, chicken sandwich yum. Great servers!”
“Marco and his staff always go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied! the food is always on point and the price is extremely fair our families go to spot for pizza night!”
“It would be nice to truly recommend this place, but $7 for a tap beer is too much! The IPA was mediocre as well. The staff however was friendly and incredible. But please cater to locals and have your price reflect that.”
“I have given Cliffhouse a glowing 5-star rating. It truly shines as a delightful, eclectic mountain dining spot that has captured my family's affection. The fusion of excellent food, fun service, and a laid-back atmosphere at Cliffhouse equals a unique charm and character that define this little restaurant.”

“Sage has it all. Good food, locally sourced, and lots of customization. This my new go-to spot for both lunch and dinner!”
“I liked the combo vegetarian, yummy and many varieties at good price”
“Food was amazing, service was ever better. Kevin the bartender did an amazing job and spoke amazing English, he deserves a raise. Thank you for the great service.”
“We stumbled upon this place when the place we had picked out was actually busy. The atmosphere is fantastic. Brick walls. Offset lighting. Fantastic ambience.
Serving staff was extremely professional. We had a serve by the name of Nick. But as we looked around the restaurant and noticed their entire staff and Chef crew in the back that you can see from your table are very professional. Very unique for a tourist town.
We chose the Chimayo bread for an appetizer. It was fantastic. Way better than Texas roadhouse dinner rolls with a very unique butter/honey Spread.
My wife shows the cauliflower steak. Extremely well prepared. Cauliflower was a 1 inch stick slice of cauliflower with roasted cherry tomatoes, zucchini, wedge, tomatoes, shaved Parmesan, and a very nice light seasoned sauce on top. Fantastic.
I chose the flatbread steak sandwich because of the reviews and the recommendation by the server. It was also fantastic. Made with their pizza dough. Stuffed with roasted bell pepper, onions, mushrooms, steak and a very nice sauce. Like a calzone except that the bread wasn't closed over. It was fantastic. .”
“Service was really great. Coffee was topped off consistently and everyone was very friendly. The food was okay. I got the salmon Benedict. Honestly a one and done only because I've had better but if they added some avocado, it would elevate that one.
The Mrs. got the huevos ranchero and again, nothing to write home about but still great for some regular brunch.
The drinks were great and the coffee was good, and service on point! so that helps cover the food side. Definitely saving to give another shot and try their other menus.
Enjoy!”
“Wonderful food , staff and experience. Thank you Animas”
“Darling, if I *must* indulge you with my opinion of Seasons in Durango, Colorado, well, allow me to begin by saying it was nothing short of an *extraordinarily* delightful experience. Picture this: we, mere mortals, seated at the bar, preparing ourselves for an evening of culinary enchantment.
Now, as a woman of discerning taste, I naturally chose the *Paradise Island Margarita*. Oh, the *splendor*! A tantalizing concoction, reminiscent of a *key lime pie*, but served with such elegance in a martini glass. One could almost hear the waves lapping upon the shore, though we were far from the tropics.
Adam found himself in the thrall of an *Espresso Martini*, and oh, what a revelation it was! A drink that seemed to whisper to him, "Stay alert, but in the most fabulous way possible."
Our darling Angelique—*a true artisan behind the bar*—delivered these libations with the precision of a master and the flair of a stage performer. Truly, her skills should be heralded far and wide.
As for the food? *Heavenly.* We dined on the *Grilled Cheese*—though calling it merely "grilled cheese" feels a touch uncouth—and the *Hoisin Barbecue Ribs*. Both dishes were crafted with such care, such *passion*, one could weep. The flavors! *Flawless*. The chef, whoever he may be, is clearly *a genius* in the kitchen, a Michelangelo with a spatula.
We shall most certainly return, darlings. Seasons, you’ve enchanted us, and this *magnificent* experience will linger in our hearts—and taste buds—forevermore. *Bravo*.”
“Great food and service ! A very kind soul paid for our food so we didn't have much cash to tip... I hope the person who paid for our meal, tipped enough for our waitor since we had different waitors. Thank you for the person who paid it forward and to a great waitor !”
“We all had different items from the menu for dinner on a weekday night and really enjoyed all the food. We normally travel for food but didn't expect much from the only place open for dinner ON the mountain. The French onion soup was great! The gruyere cheese was perfect the temperature could have been hotter. The elk sliders were fantastic. The cheeseburger was surprisingly the most expensive thing we ordered but it and the fries were great. My wife had a salmon Caesar salad and the salmon was better than great. The salmon filet was really the highlight of the night.Service was fantastic, both servers checked on us plenty.I don't understand all the negative reviews but I would recommend Purgys.”
“Top Notch! Pulled up on my motorcycle and was promptly help and the Za was amazing!!”

Takeout Restaurants
“We decided to have a treat after riding the river trail and our expectations were beyond imagination! the care of each addition to the crepe, the concentration that everything is just right, the friendly smiles. We're here a few more days and there's a good chance I'll be a multi-repeat customer!”
“Cute coffee shop. Not so nice staff. My husbands order was mocked from the guys behind the counter. Your customers can hear you. Do better.”
“Best food in Durango! The sliders, salad and soup are all top notch! Don’t miss this place if you’re anywhere close to Durango!”
“We happened upon this place while traveling through Durango. What a gem in the picturesque downtown area! The food was outstanding. We tried The Italian which was so flavorful with just enough heat without overpowering your taste buds. The Reuben was also delicious and just the right level of messy. The best part was meeting co-owner Colin, a fellow KC Chiefs fan! If you're in Durango and looking for good eats and a Chiefs Kingdom-friendly spot, this is the place! Thank you Colin!! #ChiefsKingdom”
“Spicy tuna rolls are unmatched. So fresh. Mo is always a friendly face! They consistently have great customer service, excellent quality food and our orders are always correct. 5+ stars”
“Best restaurant in the USA. Very good value for money (less than 40 dollars at 4). Very good. Good portions and yet I am a good eater (2 kebabs in France). Welcoming, smiling and very helpful staff. From the outside it doesn't look much, but you can go there with your eyes closed.”
“Bread is all around incredible!!! Kyra, at the north location, designed and made us the most beautiful wedding cake. It was equally delicious and beautiful. And the team at the downtown location made my aunt in Seattle's dreams come true by cheerily delivering pastries to the salon where I got my hair and makeup done the morning of my wedding while she was a million miles away. They're incredible people and make incredible goodies. I cannot recommend them enough! Thank you for making my most special day perfect!!”
“Wow! We ordered the burrata chicken sandwich and I've been dreaming of it ever since. Love that the food truck is a part of the brewery too. Dog friendly too!”
“Great customer service and great food and beautiful views!”
“Best breakfast joint in Durango super consistent great food and service . The homemade hot sauce is incredible. This is our breakfast spot most mornings when in Durango”
“My new favorite coffee shop in town! Love the atmosphere. The owner also helped me with some plant advice, a 2 for 1! Highly recommend.”
“Pretty good burgers. Fries were almost too salty but tasted good. I wish I didn’t have to order through door dash because it made the order over $10 more expensive.”
“Great beer, attentive bartenders, food is home cooked and priced right! a very relaxed local atmosphere.”
“We loved Jean Pierre Bakery! The staff is super friendly, the pastries are delicious, and the bakery has so much character! Highly recommend the coffee cakes and croissant eggs benedict. Prices are very reasonable too! We’d come back to Durango just to visit here again.”

“This is absolutely, hands-down the best coffee drive through on the SW!! It’s obviously well managed and thought out. Great coffee and espresso drinks, wonderful food and great staff. Check it out!!!”
“We stayed in Durango a couple of weeks ago! We LOVED DJ coffee! The shop by The Siesta Motel, Brooklyn was the sweetest! Very helpful and courteous ❤️ Nice job!”
“Durango Joes, Today my sweet Oreo stopped eating because she is in the end stages of cancer. Sadly that means it's time. But today I stopped at the north Durango location and told them her favorite treat was pup cups and that I had 4 dogs. The kind young lady immediately hooked us up. I wasn't sure if Ms.Oreo would be able to eat it but I got home with it and low and behold she perked up to enjoy her tasty treat. I want to say thank you. This moment is so special to our family as it's one of the last times we get to see her enjoy anything. She will be crossing the rainbow bridge this afternoon so she doesn't suffer anymore. you'll never know how thankful I am for this moment with her. thank you Durango Joes.”
“Not a good experience here on a Friday night. The place is small and crowded. Kids running with a chair all over the place. The guy misunderstood the order and we had to wait like 20 minutes to get the slice of the pizza we wanted, so they don't replace on time. The girl in the bar was nice and quick in her service. Pizza and beer were good. In general, the food is recommended, the service may be improved.”
“This is seriously great barbecue! I wish they would open one up in Albuquerque!”
“Great patty melt and the cheese curds … to die for.”
“I didn't actually get a cup of coffee here. I came to this location looking for a Utah mug. I noticed the Starbucks in the grocery store New Mexico and Arizona in addition to the Colorado mugs. This one didn't have them either. There are like 3 Starbucks in Utah.....this was disappointing.”
“Always clean inside and super friendly but just once I'd love them to get my order right. This is a copy of my other review but eat here! I gave them five stars but it whoever hires most of the help gets all of the credit because they definitely emphasize service because even though it's not always accurate, the employees are always awesome -- in particular Ian and Lucas. In spite of the great service, it helps to watch them make your sandwich if they're not busy because these guys are so busy that they're on autopilot and don't always notice if one strays from the normal ingredients. First the guy put mayo on my sub and after I pointed it out, it tried to put vinegar and oil on it but I caught him again but in fixing that, he removed the onion that he'd already put on and I had to ask him for that. I took my eyes off of the guy to pay my bill and he forgot the peppers. It's frustrating because it's written down right in front of them. Regardless, they're friendly and accommodating and I'd recommend this store above any other sandwich shoppe in town but if you resort to "brand X," go to their south store in town and hope that Michale or Gene are working. As far as JJ in Durango goes, stop and eat and tip well because these guys are top notch and I recommend JJ with all of my heart!
Vegetarian options: Order what you'd like and if they pay attention, you'll walk away very pleased”
“It took them a minute to get ready for our order. Our coffee came out quickly but they forgot to make my burrito. We waited for a long time and they still hadn't made it. Very cold.”
“Very unique experience at this sonic drive through. not every sonic has a drive through some just have the pullin spots. I came in with high hopes looking for a grilled cheese. When the man told me that all of the food was not being served and all the grills were turned off. My heart melted like a little boy's in the heart of the Sahara With no water to drink And no oasis in sight. Luckily the drink machines worked. Should I scream! When I asked if I could have a cherry? They gave us a whole bucket. I feel like they are tried to compete for something. But that's o k it's all the same to me cheers sonic!”
“The new melts... aren't melts. Even their promotional material shows that the cheese isn't even melted. Cold cheese and median temperature meat = not a melt. I'll attach a picture of the melt they promote...There wasn't a whole lot of people when we came into the store. So we were able to get our food very quickly. It was hot, fresh, and very good. The team members here were awfully nice. The indoor play place is extremely fun for kids… But it doesn't have a heater in there, so make sure and bring your coats!”
“Service was really great. Coffee was topped off consistently and everyone was very friendly. The food was okay. I got the salmon Benedict. Honestly a one and done only because I've had better but if they added some avocado, it would elevate that one.

“I originally found Desert Sun Coffee Roasters when I was testing different coffee roasters for my coffee shop. I sampled about 30 different companies and by far Desert Sun is the best. We love it so much we actually took a road trip up to Durango, CO to check out the location. We have sadly sold the business. But, we continue to buy the 5lb bag once a month for our Sunrise Espresso addiction. Oh, and the customer service is incredible, they have always gone above and beyond.”
“This was the best experience from a coffee shop I’ve ever experienced. I didn’t catch the ladies name, but she suggested something she created for the season- the snowball. This coffee is perfect along with a good chat with her. Def stop by for your morning caffeine!”
Cheap Eats
“I live the food and the service, very nice staff, clean and prompt . the flaming combo is my favorite.”
“Overall I like it. Sandwiches are pricey for what you get but I can look past it cause they're locally owned and they're still good sandwiches, and the staff is really great.”
“We had a great visit to Cream Bean Berry during our time in Durango! The shop itself was super cute, and the service was great. I tried the honey lavender ice cream, and it was absolutely delicious. I would recommend Cream Bean Berry for anyone looking for good ice cream in Durango!”
“Originally we were going to another restaurant but they were close so we got here. Thank goodness!!! This restaurant is 5 stars!!! We met the owner who is super friendly and nice to chat. The service is impeccable. The food...oh my god...we ordered chilaquiles for breakfast. The absolute BEST. We are from Austin and eat lots of Mexican food but this one is unique, tasty, and beautiful. I got the one with chorizo and my partner got the one with chicken. Both are fantastic. Cozy and great selection of music. Love every part of this eatery. If you are in Durango, this is a must stop, y'all!!!”
“Wonderful place to go and love the atmosphere. Plenty of places to sit where it's warm but still have the outside area. Only reason I have the lower score on the food is because the food truck I went to did not listen to my order and made me something else and it was too spicy for me to eat. I should of taken it back, but I was not in the mood to have confrontation. Boyfriends food was delicious lol and the truffle fries were bomb!”
“The food was absolutely fantastic and the service was even better! We got there soon after opening this week and had a train ride so they had our breakfast ready right after opening so we wouldn’t miss our train. 12/10 would I recommend!!”
“Best cafe in Durango! Everything is made fresh everyday, their drinks are amazing, and incredible owners and atmosphere. Their sandwiches and quiches are to die for. Recommend to all of my family and friends!”
“We ate here and it was really really delicious food! Unfortunately there is a really strong odor of sewage, or something rotten, I don’t know what it was but it would be nice to get that taken care of. I would definitely do takeout from there, the food was seriously so yummy but the stinky smell in the restaurant was pretty bad.”
“Got two bacon burritos this morning, 10/10 Food was very dense and filling Could taste all the different ingredients Burrito was not messy Will definitely be coming back! Chef said burritos were made with love and she did not lie!”
“Bread is all around incredible!!! Kyra, at the north location, designed and made us the most beautiful wedding cake. It was equally delicious and beautiful. “Nice atmosphere, good coffee. Open til 3:30 so I can get my 3 o’clock coffee fix.”
“I’ve liked this place since the Main Mall days! Great family, great food! Thank you!”
“Yummy yummy! I’m never disappointed! This is my go to place!”
“I cannot recommend this place enough! Tastiest waffles I’ve ever had! :) Spent a week here in Purgatory and probably visited T’s Waffle Cabin about four times haha! So good!”
“We stop in almost every time we are in town for the night, and that's because we are made to feel like family. Fun, safe, and all ages. Lots of great dance talent that welcomes all skill levels. (So much better than any big city dance hall I've been to)”
“We had dinner for 7 Sunday June 2nd. Service was incredible and food was over the top fantastic. Lobster stuffed halibut was a real treat. Pizza was done perfectly cooked with fire. prime rib fantastic.”
“Walked in after a disastrous experience with low expectations but they turned our day around!! Drinks were strong and so good, everyone was very friendly! Cute bar with fun bar games, definitely worth a visit!”
“Was in town for the weekend and gave them a try. I truly enjoyed the pizza. If I lived in town I would be there all the time. Your lucky Durango! Mike J from Castle Rock ... 😎👍”
“Saw this restaurant in google maps, good looked good and it was indeed delicious. Service is great, you don’t have to ask for refills as the waiter is ready to serve you more, will come again and would recommend anyone to come and enjoy the fresh food, options for gluten free and healthy options as well. The parking in this snowy weather is clear of snow. Should have an easy way in and out. WiFi is available.”

“Our family all really enjoyed our evening spent here. We were a party of 10. Ages ranging from 5-66. There were plenty of areas for the kids to enjoy, as well as for the adult's. Arrive early to try and enjoy some of the other entertainment. We (as adults)loved panning for gold with the kids. The train (yes, had to pay a small fee) the kiddos loved it. The food was great. We all had the combo plate. Everyone, actually agreed we liked the chicken the best (didn't try the steak). It was my 2nd time there and didn't disappoint. Definitely a great attraction. Show was great! Also, nice to see the performer's and talk with them after the show.”

“First place I went to while visiting Durango and lemme just say how DELICIOUS the food was. good lord. I’m not a big meat person so I was already a bit judge mental but not only did the food convince me but also the service. I’m not sure of his name but he was super friendly and his service went beyond my expectations. I live to visit places that aren’t a huge franchise and this place was the best choice. Wish there was one in Albuquerque!”
“One of the better McDonald's you can find. They have the occasional slip up with forgetting an item or giving you the wrong item, but there are always quick and friendly staff willing to help correct any issues.”
