“We always stop in here at least once when we visit Durango. Sometimes the food and service are fine and sometimes they're outstanding, but we know we'll never leave hungry. The prices are fair and the atmosphere is generally warm and welcoming.“
“We came here over 12 years ago and have been trying to find it again ever since (couldn't recall the name all this time). They have numerous fresh made salsas of different varieties, all tasty. Great tacos! They are just as good as 12 years ago and we would definitely highly recommend.“
“My family and I visited this restaurant last night. The food was good and the service was okay. We arrived a little before they were closing up (we called and they told us to make sure we got there before 6 PM) so they ran out of most of the everything. Besides that they were very accommodating especially for a family of 12.“
“Avery was our server and he was very attentive and gave us great suggestions. I ordered the green chili stew and chalupa with pork which were both wonderful!! We ordered the queso and really enjoyed it!! Loved the atmosphere and experience. Can’t wait to go back! Free sopapillas with honey and butter are an additional treat!“
“We had Zia Taqueria for our rehearsal dinner and they delivered to the Black Diamond lodge for us! The food was absolutely delicious, all of our guest enjoyed it and had the best things to say! We did all of our communicating with Rosie and she was so quick to respond and answered all the questions we had! Would recommend to all family and friends!“
“My wife, two kids and my self were visiting Durango for the weekend for the polar express train ride. So, while we waited for our time to be on the train. We were trying to find something not to expensive and good to eat. So, I look up restaurants and check the list and saw a whole bunch of restaurants around the Train Depot. I checked reviews and prices and I saw a bunch of good reviews for this restaurant, prices are with in a family budget. Yes, I saw some not so good reviews but what business does not have not so good reviews. All I see are a bunch of Karen's, not everyone is perfect like they are. Anyways we really enjoyed our food filled and satified our stomachs the waitress and other staff were professional. We ordered the enchilada/ tostata plate, the burrito w/ beans and rice, the tilapia fish tacos w/ beans & rice and chicken nuggets w/ fries. Thank you for a very nice meal with very good customer service from Amanda.“
“Our family loves Zia. We eat it 3 to 4 times a month. We love that it is affordable, has good portions and tastes great!!One comment is to double check your order when you check out. 9 out of 10 times we are overcharged and we have to go over the order with the staff. They tend to charge for meat or fixings or for a larger portion. Since we go there so much I know exactly what I order in their 'lingo' and correct them.“
“Came in between the lunch rushes around 12:30 and ordered the fry bread taco jr. It was enough food for an adult with a healthy appetite and was delicious. It's a very popular place and seems to have a large variety for all foodies. Laid back atmosphere and order at the counter convenience.Parking: Shopping lotKid-friendliness: Menu for kid stuff“
“Been here several times, I always get the shrimp burrito with a deep fried green chile inside. Delicious!! They have Mucha Lucha decor, including full size wrestlers in a ring, lots of TV's, and a lot of Chiluly Gallery glass pieces hanging from the ceiling. Great place.“
“The tortilla wrapped chile relleno was hot (temp-wise), melty and huge on the heated plate, but not very flavorful. My partner had the pork burrito as usual and thought it was perfect. The chips and salsa appetizer tastes different than other places -- the chips taste nutty; the salsa is whirled into sauciness which I prefer over chunky. Service was perfection after being seated by a nice hostess. The atmosphere is appropriate for a neighborhood restaurant and decorative touches were noticeable and appreciated. The only complaint is the naugehyde booth seats were positively shredded and the grey dirt from a thousand pairs of pants had been ground into the underlying woven fusing. There was not an inch that hadn't been ravaged, or shampooed, and so we had no choice but to sit in the dirt with our clean clothes. It did affect my appetite. There is a fix to this unappealing seating and hopefully management is working on it because I like this restaurant a lot.“
“We saw this place was within walking distance of the home we rented. We read the reviews and had a local tell us this place is good. We walk over, got the last of two tables at 4:30 PM on a Thursday and ordered drinks and queso. I had the special margarita, cucumber and jalapeno. It was good, not too spicey for me and I am a big baby when it comes to things too spicey. Spouse had a house margarita. It was really good with fresh fruit in it. I wish I had ordered one of those. The cheese queso was great; melting hot in some sort of stone bowl. The chips are good too - light and crunchy and not too much salt on them. For our meal we ordered a chicken burrito and carne asada. The two dishes were split by my kid, 13, me and spouse. It was more than enough food. The place has every table full at times so the service was little slow. I noticed only 2 waiters for 12 or so tables. The bar back and bus boy did do a lot to help. The decor is cute and the noise level moderate. I am glad we stopped into a small, local business for dinner. I would go back.Kid-friendliness: There is a kid's menu.“
