“My kids and I love the food here, and the staff are also great. We love the egg and cheese “love” muffins with bacon, blueberry muffins, smoothies, burritos, vegan baked goods, etc. A well-established Durango cafe that I’ve been frequenting for almost a decade. Check it out!“
“If you are anything like me you have wondered about this place for awhile. I ventured in with a couple friends for lunch last week and it was like stepping back (refreshingly) into my youth living in a teepee in the Santa Cruz Mountains and hanging out with the tribe in the alternative eateries in Felton and Boulder Creek. Very clean, very laid back, quiet with wonderful, plant-based delights. Where else but here can you get a 4 course meal for $15?Feels like a return to the light. Check it out.“
“This was the best experience from a coffee shop I’ve ever experienced. I didn’t catch the ladies name, but she suggested something she created for the season- the snowball. This coffee is perfect along with a good chat with her. Def stop by for your morning caffeine!“
“This is the second time we've eaten here and it was just as good the second time. Very reasonable pricing. Expect a little wait on the busy days as it is a small, intimate dining area. They have a smart phone based wait line and notifications so you can see how long to expect and how many are in front of you. Works very well!!Servers are always sweet and attentive. Pancakes and French toast are EPIC!!! Both are easily as good as Cracker Barrel, if not better. They're are a ton of vegan and vegetarian options on the menu plus your basic breakfast fare. We will definitely be back. The coffee is STRONG so if you are a wimp with your coffee like me, ask for extra cream.Enjoy. It's worth going off the beaten path for this one. (Very, very close to the college).“
“We’re in town to ski at Purgatory and were looking for a place to have breakfast/brunch on our rest day. So happy we found Hermosa Cafe! The atmosphere brought us in first…down to earth and unique. Then, we had their coffee, quiches, and scones. Did not disappoint! Their coffees were by far the best. Highly recommend the El Sueño latte.Dietary restrictions: They have vegan, vegetarian, and GF options.“
“The phone call to order was a little odd. I think it may have been too loud but the chick taking calls was definitely a little irritated.Food was pretty good but the cheese was super well done on all our pizzas. Not my favorite way to have cheese but w.e.Cesar salad was good.Parking lot was an ice rink, and the interior is a bit more dirty looking then anticipated. Def a dive bar but the money covering the walls and ceiling is such a dirty feel. Sorry.4 stars overall for the food in general.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian pizza toppings available.“
“A classic diner in the middle of a shopping mall in Durango. They've done this for 40 years and have it down pat. There's a bar and a row of tables crammed into a single unit, and it works perfectly. The menu has so many options. My wife and I split a breakfast burrito (it's that big!), and I had a slab of ham big enough to call dinner. It's rare that I leave food on a plate, but I did here.Look at the display of pies, amazing!Service is efficient and courteous to the extent of the rush of customers. We went around 11:00 and had no wait. High on the yum scale!“
