This is hands down the best Chinese restaurant I have been to. It's small and quaint. Right on the river and the most peaceful atmosphere. The food was amazing. The service was wonderful and the staff was very sweet. I recommend this for a sweet quiet little romantic dinner.

As someone who truly enjoys Chinese cuisine, I can not recommend this place. Fried rice had chunks of white rice still in it plus other issues but not to rag on the place. Nice people but $40 for the wife and I to eat lunch and not be at all happy with the meal gonna be a hard pass. Good thing is... Burger King is next door.

Stopped here for lunch during the work week & had a good experience! They have $11.95 lunch specials that come with soup & an egg roll which is nice.
The actual dining area is very small inside and it wasn’t until I finished that I realized they had a beautiful outdoor dining area in the back that was next to the river!
Sesame chicken was yummy and I upgraded my soup to Wonton soup for $1 more which to me was totally worth it.
Service was great.
They have a buffet during early lunch hours but I haven’t tried it yet so not 100% sure how it is.
For places like this, I wish Google allowed 1/2 stars because my experience was better than 4 but the overall restaurant itself isn’t 5 stars. Will definitely be back.

Truly consistent delicious food! We’ve ordered through DD at least 6 times and our order is perfect every time! The Salt and Pepper fried Tofu is crazy good as is Gen Tsaos chicken!

Don't go on a weekend, ended up spending over 80 for 4 meals they have no specials and they charge u for every small bowl of rice

Defiantly the best Chinese food in the Durango area with great care going into each dish. Not all of the ingredients in various dishes are what I'm accustomed to and so it might take experimenting with a dish or two before you find what might end up becoming your favorite dish. I get the chicken or beef and vegetables and the ingredients are plentiful. The owners are especially friendly and their daughter is a gem. If you're debating which Asian restaurant to try in town, I would look no further than the China Cafe. Good people and great food.

Food was disgusting. Pork was served cold. Beef and broccoli was bland and actually made me vomit. sesame chicken sause was not cooked long enough and was mostly breading. Left without finishing 10 dollars worth of food and the bill was 70 dollars. Would not recommend to a karen
