How hard is it to make a hamburger? Too hard for these guys I guess. Great meat, cheap everything else, but the green chile was flavorless and overall disappointing. I’ll say the service was as a good as I’ve had anywhere. The place feels a bit in need of a cleaning though. Maybe dust up high?

The Durango Diner combines an “old school Diner” vibe with a great customer experience and very good food. The staff is energetic, attentive and always willing to make sure you have that full cup of coffee. Holly is phenomenal! Talk about friendly service with a smile. Try the blueberry pancakes. Delicious!

This place is a Durango Gem, crowded yes, wait times yes, but there is a reason and classic counter diner. Green chili is very flavorful and won't burn your mouth, coffee cup always topped off. It's an experience.

A great little counter diner where you can watch them cook for you! Freshly grated potatoes for hashbrowns. Fresh ingredients. Great service. Friendly staff. Mostly counter seating but also a few tables and booths.

If you want great food and a wonderful experience you really need to hit up our LOCAL Durango Diner. It is absolutely the best place in Durango for breakfast or lunch. One thing very unique to Durango Diner is that you can sit at the bar and watch your food being prepared right in front of you. It's cool to watch how efficiently the chefs make each meal. Every stack of hash browns is hand shredded with box grater right onto the grill. Fast & friendly too.
Try their huge fluffy pancakes 🥞 or my favorite a Chili Relleno. My husband's favorite is Gary's Snack sandwich (Sausage patty, american cheese, diced green chile, on an english muffin) or the Diner Burrito (Flour tortilla filled with colorado beef chili, smothered
in green or red chile sauce, topped with lettuce, tomato, sour cream.) Their hamburgers are tasty and other lunch dishes are fantastic as well.

It’s really not worth the effort or money. The biscuits and gravy are the only item we ordered that were good. They were just “good” only. Pancakes were obviously hurriedly made with very dark outside and doughy inside, batter tasted like baking soda overwhelmingly and raw flour. Hash browns only crispy on the very outside of the portion and white/raw for the most of them. Tried a biscuit with just butter on it, tasted like the pancake …… raw flour and baking soda.
