Not bad! It's definitely a vibe; I always enjoy local spots with some atmosphere. There's just something cool about a diner.
Food was alright. "The cure" is good, but at least I stopped in it seemed pretty majorly under-seasoned. Like to the point of being bland. Maybe just a one-off? That's why I give it a 4.
Food good fast service

Before going to the Durango Diner, I had IBS. When I got there, someone told me I had to order "The Cure" and I haven't had to make an emergency stop on the side of the road since. They truly do make miracles happen. The Green Chile will make your jaw drop.

Delicious food, good service, cutest little hole-in-the wall diner in quaint & curious Durango. Reasonable prices, too!
Must try the "Cure" - a layer of hash browns, eggs your style, & topped by your choice of meat or veggies.
The hash browns are fresh-made, thin & crispy. Perfect & scrumptious. 😋
Also, must try their famous green chili! Be prepared, though, it might be a little hot! 🔥 🥵
Vegetarian options: Veggie Cure with no cheese!

It's good, like real good. They think Colorado Chile is better than New Mexico Chile but I'll let it slide because the food is bangin.
Parking: Downtown is very limited parking but half the fun is the walk through.

Never found it, if I did ,no parking. I went elsewhere.
This is a very cool little diner. It’s mostly one line of bar stools, with maybe 2-3 tables. The servers are super friendly and the food was amazing! I had “The Cure” which is hash browns, eggs, bacon, cheese and green chile sauce on top - SO GOOD. Great portions, always filling my coffee, and an all around great experience.

I was there at the tail end of 2020. During the easing of covid restriction. I was a little surprised by the cost but once the plates were received and eaten. It was well worth the cost. The price point for what you get was perfect. I even brought some of the green salsa home. Still trying to figure out the best way to get some here to san antonio. I recommend Durango diner as a place to eat at least once when you visit..
