Durango Riverside Resort Cafe

Our family had a wonderful time camping at Junction West Durango Riverside Resort. They sure provide a first-class camping experience. Friendly staff, beautifully kept grounds, activities for all to enjoy. Highly recommend!!

Our recent stay at JW Durango exceeded all our expectations. Opting for the deluxe camping cabin, we could not have asked for a better setup. The cabin was meticulously stocked with everything we needed, making our stay incredibly comfortable. The entire park was wonderfully quiet, providing a serene environment that allowed us to fully unwind. The pool was fantastic and a highlight of our trip, offering a refreshing escape. Our kids absolutely loved the playground and spent hours playing there. Moreover, the office staff were consistently pleasant and helpful, ensuring all our needs were met promptly and with a smile. We highly recommend JW Durango to anyone looking for a perfect getaway!

awesome RV park, great staff. stayed for 2 plus weeks 2 years ago, and it's just gotten better. RV sites right on the bank of the Animas River, plenty of room for large rigs (we have a 37ft 5th wheel) new this year is an off leash dog run! pool is nice, and heated, the store is well stocked. great place to stay, looking forward to returning.

We have stayed here multiple times. Sometimes in our RV this time in our RTT. If you are looking for a RV, tent site, cabins in the area, don’t look anywhere else, look here first and then anywhere else. The park itself has everything you would want. If in the RV look for the riverside spots. They are slightly tight (still plenty of room) but sooooo worth it. The tent sites are beautiful and well spaced. Everything is kept clean and functional by the owners and staff. Restrooms and showers are great. Clean and plenty of them. The office is well stocked and the cafe has good food. The location is perfect for hikes, fishing, town. Last but not least…the owners and staff definitely make this place special. They super friendly, helpful and available. Every time while in town this is where we go. We camped in a Class A as well as Roof ToP Tent.

Best RV Park we have ever stayed at. The park staff are amazing. They go above and beyond to make sure the grounds are well kept and landscaped beautifully!! Customer service is exceptional!

We had a RV spot on the river. The setting is beautiful. We could easily see and hear the river while sitting at our spot. However, the spots are very, very close together. We were vacationing with family and had 4 spots reserved together, so it wasn't horrible for us. I would not have liked it if we had not known those who were parked next to us. It was horrible trying to get our fifth wheel out when we were leaving. Other campers had tow vehicles in the roadways making it very difficult to leave with our fifth wheel We did not use the bathrooms and showers at the park. They were clean but old and badly in need of updating. New drywall was being installed in the laundry room. There is a lovely firepit with Adirondack chairs near the pool. The pool is nice but not heated. To have Wi-Fi at the spot you have to purchase it. We paid $14.95 for a week. Even after purchasing it, it was not good at our spot. It was not reliable enough to work from there.

We travel extensively throughout the US and Canada and this park is going in our top 5 places to camp! We never wanted to leave our campsite to go do ANYTHING! I could have stayed forever but a week was all I got. Pure paradise. If I must say something negative it would be they have a very week WiFi but it almost felt good to disconnect.

Very nice RV park. Nice layout and well kept. Provided a picnic table, umbrella, chairs, fire pit and gas grill for 50” pull thrus. Kids loved the pool. They drive thru and picked up your trash in the morning and evening. Only improvement could be cleaning the bathroom/showers.

We had a wonderful stay here! We stayed in one of the Riverview Tiny Houses. It was very cute! The surroundings were beautiful! Great views of the mountains and the Animas River! I don't know why there are negative reviews, the people that worked there couldn't have been nicer! The lady at the front desk and the people who worked in the pizza place were very friendly! The pizza was great and we ate it on our little patio to enjoy the pretty views! They also had a nice gift shop! We hope to come back!

Worst camp site ever (and we camp ALOT, ~1/2 time). They gave us the smallest possible camp site that we could fit in. Barley could get our bump outs extended. Barley could fit our car in front. No room for our chairs to sit out and what little room there was was covered with old campfire ashes. We could not get in and out of our RV without getting ashes on our shoes and dogs paws. Our picnic table had to sit under one bump out and was ~3 feet from neighbor’s sewer hose. We asked to be moved but they said they were reserved, which is BS since KOA does not pre-reserve specific site #. There we several much nicer open sites around us all week in the same $ class. Staff showed no interest in helping resolve our issues. This will affect our opinion on all KOAs and in the future we will only use them for one night fly buys. It appears they have many nice sites… but I can only review on the site we got.

Terrible experience!!!! Racist and rude staff, never had a problem before, sent my wife and daughter in to make a reservation and they were treated super rude!! I called in to complain and the same lady answered she started arguing, called me a WETBACK and hung up. Never again will we stay there. Don't give these hateful, racist people your money
