My husband and I went to Eolus to celebrate our 46th year Anniversary and were greeted by 2 friendly gentlemen wishing us a Happy Anniversary and took us to a wonderful booth with beautiful, colorful tiny hearts on our menus! Our extremely friendly server came over to introduce herself and asked if we were ready to order drinks. My husband ordered a Sweet Manhattan and I ordered a glass of Pinot Noir. Heather came back to see if we were ready to order and I asked for a few minutes to decide. When she returned I asked her if the Surf & Turf could be done only with Lobster tails and she said absolutely. I ordered the Lobster plate with 2 Lobster Tails, Garlic Mashed Potatoes & Asparagus with an incredible sauce. My husband ordered the famous Lobster/Beef burger with the same sauce and delicious French Fries! We both decided not to order appetizers or salads because the main courses we ordered would give us just enough room for dessert! Our dinners were brought out together by other servers, but Heather came back to hear about our satisfaction. Everything was beautifully prepared and extremely delicious so when Heather returned and saw our plates empty she said, you must have loved your dinner? Our answer was absolutely! Our table was cleaned off and minutes later Heather brought of the dessert menu and told us Eolus would provide the Vanilla Crème Brûlée. We looked at the menu and saw 4 Beignets with Lemon sauce which we had in New Orleans many times so we ordered them! A few minutes later came the best, fresh tasting Bignets with their outstanding Lemon sauce we have eaten! We can’t wait to go back with our friends to spend more time in a restaurant beautifully designed in a historic building in downtown Durango. The wonderful ambiance, friendly guests, outstanding service, terrific menu and remarkable quality food happens everyday Monday-Friday for dinner! If I am paying $100 for a meal, I have very high expectations. Eolus far surpassed every expectation. The crispy brussel sprouts were one of the most exquisite things I've tasted. The butternut squash was a mix of very unique and delicious ingredients. The service was the best I've ever experienced. O'Ryan treated us like royalty, always within reach if we needed assistance but never interrupting our conversation. There are many pricy restaurants in Durango, and this was the first one that I feel deserved every cent. My only regret is that we didn't order dessert!

We had our company dinner here and had the entire roof top to ourselves. The staff was fast and great at their job. They really took care of us and made the night super special for us. They are the best!

Eolus is a foodie’s dream in Durango! The food was so delicious that we took our time eating each bite. They are only open Mon-Fri and we hadn’t made a reservation this time (recommended to do so). Lucky for us, we waited all of 2 minutes to be seated.
The cocktails were interesting and delicious. The wine offerings by the glass were great. Our sushi appetizer special was incredible, especially for landlocked Colorado.
The server was attentive and when I didn’t find exactly what I wanted, he gave me an off-menu choice. While their lobster was amazing, my husband’s venison won the night.
We shared a chocolate pate choux filled with pistachio cream that was delightedly gluten free.
Wonderful experience and worth every pretty penny! We cannot wait until our next special celebration to enjoy another decadent meal there.

Dinner was fantastic! I had scallop special which was incredible (5 scallops!!) and my friend had the lobster burger (forgot to get pic). We both loved our meals. Got this delicious pistachio ice cream on chocolate cake w/ meringue (can’t remember name, but see pic!). Everything was so well done and delicious. Service was great. Atmosphere was perfect on a Wednesday evening .

Eolus is one of the best restaurants in Durango for sure !!! The service is amazing, the food is incredible with delicious flavors and love and thought put into each dish . We had the pork and scallops with the wedge salad for apps . Then we had the halibut and steak Fritz . ( both perfectly cooked ) And topped it off with The Pumpkin roll !! WOW ! Our service, Luke, was amazing and extremely informative about the menu (I felt like a chef from the food network was talking to me). Our cocktails were next level and very unique, our dinner - elk tenderloin and surf and turf - was amazing, favorable, perfectly balanced. Highly recommended.

I had high hopes for this restaurant, but service was very slow when my friend and I went, our food was burnt/dry, and the portions were small. Felt like other patrons were getting more attention than us. Not worth the price tag. I’m never coming back here.

I had the surf and turf the lobster tail was tiny but full of flavor, the filet was not edible-no taste I ordered it rare and it was charred on the outside with no flavor. Awesome atmosphere and service was great. The rest of my group enjoyed the food.
