This was THE BEST fillet I have ever ate. Cooked perfect. Flavor was so great I didn't dare out sauce on it. Prices were awesome. There was a live musician that was equally phenomenal. Service was great as well. Perfect night. If you go to Durango this is a must to go to.
This place was phenomenal. Best fillet I've ever eaten. If you go to Durango this is a must. The price was great, service great and the live music was great as well.
Would be a full five stars but the service was terrible. Our drinks took over 15 minutes to get to the table, had to ask for bread when other patrons around us were getting theirs when they were seated 10 minutes after us and my salad finally came out with the dinner so I sent it back. All that said the food was amazing. Very well prepared and the live music set it all off. We'll be back again and I don't want to tank the review just because of our bad service since I think this restaurant deserves better.
The service was outstanding, our waitress made sure we were will taken care of and made good suggestions. The owner came by several times to check on us and even the young who seated us stopped by to make sure everything was OK.The food was well prepared as we requested. I had the sirloin steak which had a great flavor. I ordered peach cobber with ice-cream, the best I have ever had.I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wants an excellent meal.
We made reservations , we tried a couple before was booked up. We was so glad!! This place was superior in all areas!! our waiter Jared was the best we have had in a long time!!!! So helpful and friendly!!! The food was delicious!! Music was fantastic!! It was the best !!!
Great menu, great staff! Friendly, come and check on you numerous times. Highly recommend it.
I had the steak and lobster. SUPERB!!! I am a foodie and eat out frequently, but somehow Fur Trappers escaped my radar. I am so glad I found this amazing steak house. Great vibe with live music. The owner Cheryl is incredible touching tables the entire time we were there. I will be back time and time again
Staff was so willing to please. Music on the patio was wonderful and not to loud. Food was delicious. We had calamari and the skewers appetizer and drinks. It was a beautiful evening on the patio. Thank you!
Disappointing.Date night, went for drinks and apps before a movie. Got the chicken platter and cheese curds. Ordered a tall drink but it came in a small skinny glass that would have fit into short glass. Felt like the child development test you give to kids on which glass has the most liquid (different size glasses but same amount of liquid) ?.Chicken platter was super small, the wings were comically tiny on a big leaf of lettuce, barely any meat except for a couple pieces that were decent size. Mostly sauce, and bone. The lettuce it was on was pooling with grease/oil. When we showed the waitress she said ‘woah, that’s a whole wing’? Cheese curds were good but small as well (probably frozen and fried)—jalapeño ranch was watery. It was all just very unimpressive and sad, not worth the money or time. Could have gone to any of the nice downtown restaurants (like El Moros) for the same price and better atmosphere, drinks and food.Wouldn’t get a full meal here after what we saw coming out of the kitchen, prices, and the apps and drinks we got.Sorry, I know this is a rough review but everything was just disappointing, we don’t dine out often and usually hit good spots so it was just a weird experience.
Filet mignon was really great and the sides were delicious as well. Nice outdoor patio, friendly staff, and fun live music.

I can not say enough great things about Fur Trappers. Their food, service, ambiance and attention to detail are top notch. We have been there twice, & both experiences were amazing. We were not only treated like royalty, but the food was the best we've had in Durango. It is now our favorite go to place. We have been served by Jared & Casta, and they are both very professional and accommodating. It is very rare these days to get professionals that truly love to go above & beyond for their customers, & they surely go out of their way to please, & it shows. We also met the owner on our last visit, & she was also very personable, & appreciated our business. We will be back soon. Fur Trappers is a delight!
Everything is fresh made in house! The rolls and herb butter were delicious! I had the bison steak, which was very tasty! The service was fabulous! I also enjoyed the variety of side dish options.
Excellent service since the min we walked in , there was no waiting time our waiter was awesome and the live mucis was the cherry on top !! Food was great, good portions ,good taste ?
We went early to check this little gem out. It happened to be Prime Rib night so we stayed. Had a great conversation with one of the owners and learned that they had only been open a year. They have a nice little bar with speciality drinks. We ordered the prime rib and it was good it came with two sides. I have the baked potato with the works and homemade Mac and cheese, so much for my carbs, right. My husband had Asparagus and baked potato. There was a salad and salad bar offered. Everything was delicious, but.. the baked potato was barely warm. We mention it to the owner. It was a fun experience.
Great spot for steaks and drinks after a good day of skiing or snowmobiling. There was even live music when we ate there (guy playing classic rock songs extremely well).
