Funky place with a very eclectic vibe. We had a group of six and everyone enjoyed just hanging out and talking. Really good cold nitro coffee with a nice chocolate finish that lingers! Delicious cappuccino. Food options for any appetite. Ample seating inside and outside. Very friendly service behind the counter.
Fresh GF options, fabulous quiche. Kind service.
Seattle may consider itself the Coffee Capital of the country, but the center of the coffee universe in Durango is Hermosa Cafe.
With a variety of hot and cold beverages available for coffee and non-coffee drinkers alike, the team at Hermosa Cafe has created a welcoming atmosphere for everyone.
Along with a wide variety of beverages they offer the freshest and most flavorful pastries, scones, and quiches I've ever tasted. The maple pecan scone was melt-in-your-mouth goodness, and the generously sized quiche with the hash-browned crust was filling without making making me feel like I needed a nap afterwards.
You'll want to arrive early for the best selection as you _will_ regret getting there after they've sold out of the best homemade pastries in Colorado.
We love this spot - great coffee, amazing scenes, and good vibes. Highly recommend!
I can only Hope that You Stumble across this Place like I Did!!
Such a cute and comfy place! The decor is so unique and eccentric, definitely thoughtful. Cold brew is suuuper yummy and the people on bar were very sweet! Big breakfast and lunch menu too. I loved the customer doodles hung up on the wall :)
Low key the best bakery in town! They bake fresh croissants and cinnamon rolls every morning, and the coffee is amazing too. They also do event catering, and I would very highly recommend. Great vibes, and really sweet staff.
Absolutely phenomenal experience at Hermosa Cafe in Durango! From the moment we walked in, we were struck by the inviting atmosphere—bright, warm, and thoughtfully designed. The decor is stunning, with a perfect blend of modern touches and cozy charm that makes you feel right at home while still being something special. Every corner of the space has an intentional, artistic feel that adds to the overall vibe.
We came in as a family of seven, which can sometimes be a challenge, but the staff was incredibly accommodating and welcoming. They made sure we were comfortable, and the seating options worked beautifully for a group our size. It’s rare to find a place that caters so well to both aesthetics and family-friendliness, but Hermosa absolutely nails it.
As a family visiting from out of town, this was the perfect spot to relax, recharge, and enjoy one last memorable moment together before heading home. The energy of the place is vibrant but relaxed—ideal for grabbing a coffee, enjoying a bite, and just soaking it all in. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Hermosa Cafe is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Durango!
Super cute spot to have breakfast or remote work. The food was also delicious. They have a great selection of the scones and quiche - I had a salmon and avocado toast which was also very hearty and yummy.
Outstanding bakery options including GF muffins, scones and quiche made in house. The interior of Hermosa Cafe is relaxed and welcoming and the service friendly and efficient. A great spot in Durango.

Great coffee house in downtown Durango with some good Bfast/brunch items and sweet
What a cool breakfast spot in Durango! Visited this place on a Monday morning and it seemed like everyone was working on their laptops. I got a mushroom quiche since everyone seemed to be raving about hem. And it was very very good. Even though I don’t love mushrooms. But…the croissant my daughter ordered was amazing. So good! My iced coffee was terrific too.
They had Quiches on hash brown crusts! If you're looking for a quick breakfast in Durango, come here, there is nothing more to say.
This is one of my favorite places. My dogs love it too!!
I’ve always been fond of Durango Coffee Company, as most people seem to be partly because of their big open window bohemian vibe. But I have to say, Hermosa Cafe which is right next door, has far better food options. Their quiche is out of this world, best I’ve ever had. And their mochas are also second to none. I stepped next door because the lobby at Durango Coffee was so packed… I will do this more often. Staff very cool, love this place! 🥰
