Being from out of town, there's not very many farm to plate locations where I come from. The food was superb and the market was spectacular and full of all kinds of different varieties of things from the ranch. I definitely recommend stopping by here as the price is well worth the food.

I simply love this place. The food quality is excellent and the preparation is just as good. I always order the burger, fries and kale slaw (delicious). The service is always good, and someone always stops by the table to make sure everything is as expected. The setting has a little something for everyone. Indoor dining, patio dining and a grassy area for kids to play. Definitely worth a try if you are in Durango.

Excellent experience! The venue is beautiful. The attached market has a great selection of local and organic items. Food was very good, portions were perfect, and arrived quickly.
Had lunch with some friends here. Burger was a bit dry and the bun was tough. I have had much better elsewhere and worst other places. Price paid was high.

When visiting Durango,CO drive up to James Ranch Grill, take time to walk the grounds and check out the very innovative and exciting approach to farming. The food is definitely worth the drive.

Just had lunch at James Ranch a HUGE shout out to Grant!! Being a restaurant owner we're always "watching " employees. Great hire on him very well mannered ( yes ma'am and yes sir) I know personally good employees are hard to find and he's a good one!! The food was outstanding!! Highly recommend this place. We even visited the store and purchased apples, plums & peaches ❤️

The burger was one of the best I've had in a long time. I'd give that an easy 9/10. I wanted the Succulent steak sandwich, but that was sold out. Hopefully you have better luck. The salads were delicious and fresh. The fries were good, but I prefer a thicker steak fry personally. Small deal. They were still good and well seasoned.
Waits could be a little long for food, so be prepared if it's anything like we experienced. Getting a float took longer than the food. Oh, they were also out of Root Beer so I settled for a cola float.

My husband and I shared: - Mushroom Belford Burger - Inside Out Melt with a Fried Egg, Bacon, Caramelized Onions - ROC'n Fries - Kale, Carrot, Apple Slaw - Ice Cream Float - Mandarin Orange Tractor Soda
The burger is one of the best burgers I've ever had. The melt might have been my favorite thing with the crispy cheese on the outside. The float was delicious. I loved the sauces for the fries.
I personally wouldn't get the slaw again because it was more of a kale salad which isn't my thing.
I will come back here every time I visit Durango because this was hands down the best place we ate.

Was driving by and saw all the great reviews so my wife and I had to stop in. My wife got the signature burger and I got the mushroom burger. Plus we ordered their famous fries. Love that the food was farm to table and the ingredients were all natural. Not the best burgers we've had, but the market was great, the atmosphere was amazing, service was great, everyone was friendly, and their goat was super cool. Glad this place is here and when we're in the area will stop by again just to support local, plus there were some other food options that looked really good that we want to try next time.

A must stop in Durango or if you’re passing through. Everything is so fresh and locally sourced. The mushroom burger was amazingly flavorful and cooked perfectly. The beet salad I would eat everyday. The fries and the sauce also great. You can walk around the farm and they have a market you can buy from. Will be coming back! And is dog friendly!
