Great non toxic food. I had the New Year's black eyed pea collard green soup with a kale salad. I was disappointed the lack of squash as described on the menu but the dressing was tasty and light. The fries were good and fresh. My family got burgers, Ruben, and blt and everyone was happy with the food. The view is very beautiful with large windows but the tables inside are crowded and loud. With crying kids at the next table it was extra loud. Service was friendly and fast but you order and pay at the register, informal keeps prices low. The fresh drinks were delicious, lemonade, cider, and Cherry. The market looked great but we were sad to discover it closed right when we finished eating. We would have made purchases.

Hands down the best burger in Durango. Might be the best in Colorado, maybe the world. Worth the drive to eat here. Local beef(you can see the cows they raise from the window) and the cheese they make is phenomenal. The steak sandwich is amazing, and their fries are delicious. They put a ton of effort into all the food they make. Can’t recommend enough.
James Ranch Grill came highly recommended to us by our Airbnb host, and that was the best food recommendation I've gotten in a very long time. Hands down one of the top burgers I've ever had anywhere - their cheese is phenomenal, burger was cooked perfectly, fries (both their normal fries as well as their chili fries) were fantastic. I don't know if Colorado has something similar to the Texas Monthly yearly top 50 burger issue, but this would easily make the top 5 against Texas' best, and I'd expect it would top a Colorado list as well.
The views here are beautiful - can't ask for better atmosphere. If you're in the area, this should be a must-stop location - both for their restaurant as well as their market.

It was a good experience. The staff was nice. You can tell the food is locally sourced from their ranch it felt a little overpriced but I’m not positive about that. The food was not my specific preference but not necessarily bad food.
Beautiful spot with plenty of high quality all natural local goodies, from fine meats to honey and herbal products. Portions were a lil on the small side but the quality was great. Highly recomend

Very sad that the fries are not those tasty fingerling potatoes anymore. The fries are now bad and not worth getting plus the extra cost for aioli is very disappointing. It’s a very small serving for “large.” The people are always so sweet but bring back the good potatoes.
