Went to breakfast & ordered the Apple Cinnamon Crepe. It was the best! Our waiter was very attentive. Definitely will be back when we visit again.

Seated at cute 2-top for breakfast. Took awhile to get our coffee & it was awful (very bitter, ala Starbucks) not what I'd expect of a French restaurant. My quiche, fresh fruit & croissant were delicious!! (A large portion, took half back to hotel for dinner later). Took awhile to get to-go box, bill & payment done. Service needs improvement.
Loved the music the lady pianist played during our meal...charming!

Loved everything about Jean Pierre; food, service, and ambiance. A little pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Love this place! Pastries are out of this world. Service spectacular. French bakery in the mountains? But of course!

I honestly canāt make a fair judgement about the quality of the food, but I can tell you that I have rarely walked out of a restaurant due to rude service, but today was an exception.
My husband and I stopped in today 20-Septembre-2024 shortly after noon. The sign clearly read, wait to be seated, and so we did. A couple of minutes went by and a sloppily dressed male gruffly asked, how many, and I signaled 2. (My husband and I are celebrating our 50th Anniversary, and since Iām French, we thought this might be niceā¦)
He grabbed some menus and tossed them onto a table as he walked by, and my husband, who is not used to rude people, continued following the āwaiter?ā I called him back and he headed to the menās room while I waited to order drinks.
Before my husband returned the āwaiterā came back with two glasses of water and roughly dropped them onto the table, asking for our drink order, sort ofā¦
I expressed that water was fine for me but my husband might like sparkling or clu⦠and he left before I could get the words out.
He comes back with a tiny bottle of Perrier, saying that is all they have⦠and again he leftā¦
Points to note:
Itās lunchtimeā¦
The restaurant was not fullā¦
I was as always, extremely polite⦠but he was really pushing my limits.
My husband came back and I said, āBabe, the waiter is beyond short and far past rude⦠Iām not willing to let you drop $100 for lunch to be treated as if weāre second rate citizens.ā
We got up and left.
I walked down the street and asked for recommendations for lunch. I also wasnāt surprised to hear that āJean-Pierreās,ā was not only NOT recommended, but we were advised to steer clear. Three shops. Same comments.
At 2:30 I returned and asked to speak with the manager. The Asian woman brusquely told me the manager was preparing to go home for the day and refused to inform them that I wanted to speak with them.
We left again.
Iām not sure how you survive in the high stakes of the restaurant business, with such disregard for your customers.
We wonāt try again.
But we will continue to tell others about our experience.
The little Mexican Restaurant we finally settled on, was extremely welcoming.
Thank goodness for options!
