This place is seriously underrated. Colorado doesn't have a lot of good food in my experience (Boulder resident), but this place is stellar. It's very pricey, but worth it if you can afford. Get the quiche, you won't be disappointed!

Lovely bakery, but left unimpressed by the entrées for sit down customers. Ordered the gruyere croissant breakfast sandwich. For $18+, I really expected a more nuanced experience. I swear it was just lunch meat, Swiss cheese, and egg. Ordered a side of hollandaise sauce for dipping, which completely transformed the sandwich into some thing more notable, but on the whole, I wasn’t impressed.

I could stay here all day. I love the atmosphere, the service is incredible, and food is even more special. I had the friand last time I was here and it was the most savory pastry I've had in a long time.

A must stop if you’re visiting downtown Durango, best pastries I’ve had in the U.S.

Very good croissants, but the choco croissant I ordered there was something out of a nightmare: the chocolade was cold and very hard to chew ... hey, obviously they don't understand the concept of a "pain au chocolade". Not to talk about the ridiculous prices of their products ...

Leaking roof next to table, no women’s bathroom because of separate leak in the roof. Side note: extremely burnt bacon.C’mon Jean Pierre

I have come to Jean Pierre's for years. And this particular time, I was wondering if they changed management. Previously, there had always been an amazing assortment of pastries. This particular experience puzzled me because the pastries were mostly macaroons & croissants. We stayed for breakfast and again faced disappointment. We ordered french toast and eggs benedict. The Maple syrup was not Maple syrup. It was corn syrup with coloring. And the substitutes for the expent we're limited. I had hoped that they had simple avocado on the side, nope. Anyway, you may think that I'm picky with my review. Bit the best thing about Jean Pierre's is the Ambience!

Beautiful little bakery in this gorgeous quaint town. I was intrigued by the piano music I heard while walking down the street so I popped my head in and was enamored with the entire atmosphere. A live pianist, beautiful and delicious pastries, and excellent customer service. I had already eaten breakfast so I decided to just get a couple of pastries and a few macaroons. All were delicious and at a good price. I will definitely be returning!

Give this place 11 stars if I could. If Kelli and Dither come in, give them 20% off for recommending this magical place to us when we visited!
