We stayed in the “Campgrounds” near the Rodeo Arena. It was fun watching all the horse training. Great place to stay and get around on the Trolley System. Just walk across the street from the light closet to the office and see the bus stop. Only .50 for seniors to ride and we told driver where we wanted to go and they dropped us off at the closest point. Had a blast walking around downtown Durango, Railroad Museum, Coffee Shop practically on every corner. We liked being in the middle of everything. We drove to the La Plata school house museum and up to The Lions Den overlook. With what we saved staying here we bought a pump for the honey tote to take to the Speedway dump station that is free for customers. Other great site was the hiking trail along the river and big deer walking thru the park like they own the place. Thank You so much Angela R.
Awesome weekend 😎
These grounds are way more than fair.
I'm in town for the bike rally the fairgrounds is laid out really nice easy to get to easy to maneuver around us bikers are enjoying the heck out of it
Yeah! The fair!
Great space
Always a great time at the County Fair, but miss the demolition derby
We had so much fun watching the rodeo. Plenty of space in the stands and very clean.
It's nice place great parking and it's a wonderful place for kids
I only gave 4 stars due to how dusty it is. Not complaining because this is an active Fairgrounds. 6.back in sutes, water (shared) and electric (50/30). The sites back.up.tonthe maintenance yard and in front the Arena. Enjoyed some youth riding competition and got a beautiful 2 mile walk along the river bike and walk trail.

Great place for a rodeo. I have been coming here since I was a little girl! Has changed alot but still the same feel. Miss the wall they used to have around the fairgrounds it was very iconic here in Durango.
RV Park review. Nice fairgrounds next to The LA Plata Rec Center. They have 8 or 9 RV spots with 30 amp and water. You can use the Rec center for $6 to shower, swim, hot tub, splash pad, and other activities. The lot is dirt and next to the arena. The only negative is that the maintenance yard is behind you, and they work some days to 11 pm. You would only hear the vehicles drive into the yard, did not bother us.
Lots of space, and versatile for many activities.
No parking!
Kinda small but maybe we missed something
