Great place for a rodeo. I have been coming here since I was a little girl! Has changed alot but still the same feel. Miss the wall they used to have around the fairgrounds it was very iconic here in Durango.
RV Park review. Nice fairgrounds next to The LA Plata Rec Center. They have 8 or 9 RV spots with 30 amp and water. You can use the Rec center for $6 to shower, swim, hot tub, splash pad, and other activities. The lot is dirt and next to the arena. The only negative is that the maintenance yard is behind you, and they work some days to 11 pm. You would only hear the vehicles drive into the yard, did not bother us.
First time to Durango and when I found out the rodeo was tonight I had to attend and it was a wonderful event. Facility was great. Rodeo competitions were great and I was grateful to try the Honey Distillery's Bourbon!
