Bruce has worked on 4 of my guitars, 2 acoustic (Martin and Taylor) and 2 electric (Gibson SG from 1966 and a Peavey from 1983). He's done fine work on all of them. I still have a 12-string that I need to bring in to him. Love his work, good guy too.
Bruce is a master! He fixed 2 problems I had on some ukes....He found the issues and solved them for a very affordable price. Nice guy, good shop, and knows what he is doing!
I cannot ever say enough to promote this man. I am just sincerely grateful for his continued existence in Durango. We will never know how good we have it...
I've had many stringed instruments over the years and Bruce has taken care of every single one. His dedication to quality and professionalism is second to none. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my instruments.
First off, let me say that Bruce is unbelievably knowledgeable, passionate, and dedicated to pleasing his customers. The quality of craftsmanship is unparalleled to anyone I've ever had the pleasure of working with. His shop is meticulously maintained, and well equipped to tackle any project you may have. I cannot sing his praises enough. If you are looking for an experienced, friendly, and intelligent individual to work on your stringed instrument, look no further, Mr. Bruce Allsopp is your guy.
I've been working with Bruce for many years, his knowledge and skills are second to none. Durango is lucky to have a luthier this fine. Don't hesitate to call on Bruce to revive that sweet old guit-box, or address that top crack, or set up your action as best as possible. When the job requires the best skills, for orchestral, folk instruments, or electric guitars, he's your man.
Bruce took care of a string fix on the spot.
Perfect set up on my banjo and mandolin! And a nice guy to visit with when you drop off/pickup your instruments.
I love the friendly vibe and the environmentally conscious businesses at the Smiley Building. It's just plain fun to go to work there!
I am honored to get to come to work here! The most Yogic place to be in Durango.
