This place is an awesome place to enjoy some delicious authentic Chinese food. Portions & prices are great. They have a great lunch special, too! The owner is friendly & fun to chat with. My family loves to visit May's every time we go to Durango to run errands.

I went to this place when I was 14. 25 years later I tried it again and I was shocked at how good the Chinese food was. Well I haven't been to China, unlike my boyfriend who had dinner with me I reminisced of some of the best experiences I've had in Southern California or San Francisco. The food was that good, the owner was working hard in her own business and everything was perfect. I regret not frequenting this establishment for the last 20 years. Looking forward to going back the next time I'm in Durango

Owner is a hoot! Loved her stories and quick wit. She speaks 7! Languages and is a marvelous conversationalist. The food was delicious! Portions were large and our whole table ended up sharing everything. A wonderful dinner with an enthusiastic host. I highly recommend for ambience, delicious food, and absolutely engage with May and learn a few things.

The may palace is a wonderful resteraunt to check out if you want good quality chinese food that is made fast! Let me tell you girl, I went for dinner with a friend, and the service was actually amazing. Food was high quality and made within 10 minutes, and that was during dinner rush. i got the sweet and sour chicken with steamed rice, and crab Rangoons, which were both super good! I would recommend going if you're craving classic Chinese !

I arrived in time to get the lunch special. So many items on the lunch menu but I wanted egg foo young. So I had the lunch special with pork egg foo young, egg drop soup and white rice. The soup was slightly warm and had an odd after taste. Couldn't quite figure it out. I think it tasted a little like freezer burnt peas and carrots. The egg foo young was missing bean sprouts. Just had carrots and peas and maybe some onions. Really missed the bean sprouts. I didn't really care for the large pieces of pork. I thought It was going to be thinly sliced pork strips. I should have asked more questions. Overall, staff was super friendly and service was quick. If I'm in town again I'd come back to try something else.

Great service! Homemade chili sauce is so tasty with my lamb fired rice. We came kinda late but the owner and her two kids were so patient with my family. The food is not expensive which surprise me at tour downtown area, and tChilihe food is not oily or salty like typical Chinese restaurant. I can tell they use very fresh ingrients to make the food and I enjoyed the food and their service very much!
