Local, I ate here last night for the first time. The service was awesome. The food tasted great and it would’ve been a 5 star experience and review but both my partner and I experienced severe gastrointestinal distress that started about 2 hours after eating and has not ended now 24 hours later. I wouldn’t post about this if I wasn’t 100% sure it was from the food at PRIMI, but we’re homebodies, each ordered the same thing, then had the same issues (all GI focused) and have no other symptoms, no children at home, and basically hadn’t left the house in the previous 4 days. I’m not sure which specific food item it was but I doubt we’re the only ones who got sick last nite. The experience otherwise was solid, so much so that I’d still try it again, as mistakes happen.

If going twice in one week isn’t a tell tale sign of excellence then I do not know what is! We love the food! Best homemade pasta and Focaccia bread! The wine selections are very nice as well. Haven’t tried any of the desserts yet, but they look super delicious. Staff is polite and very helpful. We will return!

I’m a local and go to Primi at least once a month to eat because the food is the best. To be clear, the food is the ONLY reason I go to Primi so frequently because the customer service is absolutely terrible. For example, tonight, I ordered my food and sat down at the bar. As I approached the bar, the bartender with the buzz cut and dramatic eye makeup rudely asked me, “did you already order?” without even a hello. I got up to order an additional item and when I returned, she said “you know you can order from me?” Maybe I would’ve felt comfortable ordering from her if she wasn’t so rude when I first sat down. She then proceeded to ask me to change seats to make room for a large party that was only temporarily at the bar while waiting for their own table. I will continue to eat at Primi because the food is that good, but I know I will always leave Primi regretting how much I’ve tipped.

Loved my birthday dinner! The acorn pomegranate salad and the special, mushroom risotto were delicious. Also love that we can try different Italian wines for a great price

We came at 8:40pm, but their kitchen was closed. I think they should change the closing time on Google.

A great dining and social experience. We ate well, talked & laughed all night long until we closed the place down.

Ordered off the seasonal menu - rigatoni alla Norma (love eggplant) and cavolfiore (cauliflower, pancetta, and butter) - both tasted great but especially the cavolfiore. Pasta is home made but the rest of the ingredients tasted fresh as well. The tiramisu was good but not as standout as the pasta. Will plan on trying the homemade Gelato next time.

I ate in, and the service, appetizers, and wine were delicious. Best food in Durango so far. I ordered the daily bruschetta, Toscana salad, and the mushroom pasta main. The mushroom pasta main was flavorless for the most part. But overall, a very nice experience.

Good format. Good modest price wine selection. Nice waitstaff. Pasta portions could have been smaller. Mushroom pasta needed more mushrooms. More seasoning. Ditto the pesto pasta.

Surprised by the numerous 1 star reviews here. The food options, albeit little limited, are priced well. Things are made from scratch. Noodles textures were good. The truffle flavors seemed non-existent but it could've been overpowered by all the garlic. Portion sizes were good too in our opinion.

The staff greeted us and took us to grab a menu and order at the front when ready. Not a big deal for us. We didn't deal with the same issues other guests had.

Consistently good food. Great menu for all dietary needs. Chuck makes the best espresso martinis in the four corners! Great staff, good food. The manager, Stephanie will go above and beyond to ensure a great experience.

We were a party of 10 and were told that they "don't seat parties larger than 8, have a nice day." It was a pretty unfriendly reception. I won't be going back with a party of any size.

The service was great, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the food was delicious! Their own homemade pasta is the best.
