My husband and I came with his parents. We were so disappointed from start to finish. The food was so over salted. Our mouths were burning by the end of the night. We noted that we could smell the kitchen staff on their smoke break every 30 minutes. We wanted to love it… just so disappointed. Our server, Maddie was spectacular! Overall the service was very pleasant and attentive.

Our best restaurant experience in Durango for creative and delicious selections. This restaurant would receive high marks in any city in the US for fine dining. We should return to Durango very soon just to dine at Primus.

Great service and great food! We had the stripped sea bass and pork belly. highly recommend both! Probably the best Fish I have had in a long time. So much love went into that dish! Perfectly roasted tomatoes with farrow and garlic. YUM!

Our dinner at Primus was phenomenal. Paul was attentive and friendly. The food was the best we've had in Durango- for a price! Definitely will come back for special occasions.

Our hostess and waiter were both energetic and helpful. The food and portions were extraordinary. Primus is our go to place for special occasions, and we plan on keeping the tradition going for years to come.

Just tried it for the first time yesterday for Valentine's day with my girlfriend. I guess I got lucky when I picked this place because it was perfect. When I say perfect, I mean everything was perfect. I'll definitely be going back. I recommend the Lobster roll.
Excellent, excellent, excellent. My only complaint is that I listed on the reservation that it was my wife's 50th birthday and no special effort was made to recognize that. There were no expectations of a "free dessert" or staff singing, however, I did expect a "happy birthday" or other recognition. We will MOST certainly return and give outstanding reviews to those we come in contact with. Thanks again!!!

If you are looking for a dinner of wild game, this is your place. However, whatever you get, be prepared to shell out some cash because this place is pricey. The meal preparation and service were very good. No complaints there. It's just much more expensive for what you get than most places in Durango. Upstairs also is very loud with the tables close together. If you are not a fan of wild game, your options are somewhat limited as well.

My friend and I ordered the shrimp wontons & the kangaroo (recommended by the waitress) they were not to our liking. The shrimp wontons may have been good if not on the kimchi and the kangaroo demi glaze was too sweet. My favorite part of the meal was the brussel sprouts. Overall, we were disappointed but are hoping to return & try something new because my friend went there a few years ago & said it was amazing! Next time, we will stick to the things we know are good.
