By far my favorite breakfast place in Durango! Food was amazing, servers were all very polite and attentive. I gave atmosphere a 3 star only because the place is so small your table butts right up to another family with little room to maneuver if u need to get up and use the restroom, etc. this place stays busy enough they deserve a larger place to run out of!! Amazing food!

This place is ok has a high rating pretty sure all local but here is a traveler’s review. Food selection is pretty decent. My wife ordered Anima’s breakfast with bacon and biscuits. I ordered the hash breakfast. Now if you don’t eat out a lot or have limited selections. This place is probably a 5 all day to some people. But I have tried some damn good breakfast places. My wife’s food was ok under seasoned and super crispy bacon. Now place seemed to be slammed a lot. Kitchen needs to pay attention to food being cooked. Biscuits were good and side gravy was pretty good. All in all ok. My hash breakfast was pretty good and crispy just right. Pancakes were pretty good my items were done pretty good. Would have given a 4 but bacon turned into chips made it a 3.

I was able to order a gluten free version of the classic eggs benedict.
The food was okay, and the service was wonderful. Definitely a college vibe, with lots of really nice attentive people in fast upbeat environment!

My friend and I were looking for a new brunch spot and stumbled on this gem—so glad we did! We were seated quickly, the vibe was lively, and the decor gave it such a warm, welcoming feel. The staff was super friendly, service was fast, and the coffee? Hands down the best I’ve had since moving here last year. A total win for brunch in Durango!

We have been coming to Durango for 35 years. We tried the other two top restaurants before trying Rupert’s. Rupert’s is head and shoulders above the other two restaurants. The food is fantastic and the service is very efficient and friendly. The only downside is the parking which is limited. If you try Rupert’s you will be impressed.

If I could give the experience of working here a zero I would, the amount of Durango, bayfield,Aztec and etc resident that have quit this place is absurd. They have contacted people that I have no connection too that worked a separate time period than I did asking workers to come back when they left on their own judgement. This place at the face front runs smoothly good food and great culture, that’s cjs doing 🙏, as for the new owners, they’re in every form prejudice, not just racially, age wise, nor capability wise, the cannot pay their workers consistently and fairly, the food practices are impractical and meager to say the least. the amount of stories if heard of people being hired with a set rate and the owner demotes that pay for “labor budget reasons” as a GM for a corporate that does everything professionally and within food service standards ruperts is one of the most repugnant services in the Durango area, especially when they tell their worker to take their “own accountability” disregarding their insane attrition rate. Go to tortilla la four, save your wallet, Rupert’s food is okay but not a place I can support moral wise. Do better I hope to see this place flourish one day!

We had the corned beef hash and the truffle scramble. Both were good, but the clear favorite was the corned beef hash. It was one of the best breakfast items I have ever had!

Probably the best breakfast spot in Durango. There is usually a wait but it’s worth it. The staff is friendly, the food is quick and high quality. All of the Benedict’s are excellent (the southwest is probably my favorite), but honestly everything is tasty.
