Just had a meal there. Ribs were cool, not hot, not even warm. Dry and tasteless. Their excuse for BBQ sauce is plain nasty and leaves a bad aftertaste. Mac and cheese was , I believe, a combination of library paste and Velveeta. And no field greens. Any BBQ joint not serving field greens is a joke (certainly not serious). I have yet to encounter a decent BBQ joint west of the Mississippi. And I would love to be proven wrong.
Not to be a BBQ snob but having lived in TX along with smoking meat at home throughout the year, what I had, was not "Serious Texas BBQ". I had the brisket sandwich which seemed more like chopped beef. I didn't taste any smoke and no pieces that had the classic smoke ring and/or bark.
And as a side note, the kid that was mostly making up the orders was friendly and into what he was doing. The kid that I paid and who bagged up, asked if I needed anything else, I'm not sure what his deal was, his odd stare, not friendly, judgy look, it was so weird and I left asking myself "what's his deal".

Food was amazing! Service was quick and great! Wanted to take my family somewhere we've never been since we're visiting from 6 hours away. This place did not disappoint!

Found a bone in my pulled pork sandwich. It hurt. Would not eat here again.
The employees were very kind and helpful. The taste of the food was good but it was really greasy and the beef was on the tough/chewy side. The mac and cheese was overcooked and mushy. It was a bit underwhelming overall. It gives school cafeteria vibes.

Serious Texas Bar-B-Q in Durango offers an authentic BBQ experience with tender meats and a laid-back Texas atmosphere. The signature BBQ sauce is ???. They serve the local soda Zuberfizz and it’s fantastic! I recommend the cream soda. The outdoor seating is a nice touch for enjoying the scenic views. My only critique is the pulled pork was a bit dry (to be fair I ordered just after the lunch rush).But overall it’s a solid choice for BBQ fans. Very friendly service and reasonable prices make it worth a visit. Will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our lunch at Serious Texas BBQ the other day! The atmosphere was excellent. The food great and the staff were very friendly. The wait was a little long, we stood in line about 25 minutes, but it was worth it. If you're really hungry, order the loaded baked tater! It's huge!!!
Parking: It was difficult to park because 1-it was very busy and 2-the drive thru lane runs right through the parking lot

The food is good, but it's not great. It's really time they get serious about having more than one really runny bbq sauce. Give us options! The sauce is the most disappointing part of the endeavor, being pretty much flavored water.
As a local, it's a good experience, but we only go about once a year.
This place has great atmosphere, and always has the potential to be more. But the food just isn't on the level of say, Famous Dave's.

Dietary restrictions: This place kills vegans by design. It's a meat place. There is vegetarian options, Mac and cheese, potatoes, etc.
Parking: Big lot, nothing to worry about unless you're pulling a trailer.
Kid-friendliness: Family oriented, with a putt putt golf course outside.
Wheelchair accessibility: 4 spots next to the door, no door threshold, inside floor virtually even with the parking lot. Can't imagine wheelchairs being more accessible anywhere.

No! Save your time and money this was horrible bbq. The sauce was as so watery and the spicy hot sauce was sour. Outside dining area dirty the view of river was about the only thing that was pleasant.
