Excellent breakfast sandwiches, quiche, coffee, hot cocoa and pastries at great prices in a relaxing atmosphere with great service. Gluten free is an added bonus.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options are excellent in a wide range of choices

Great location for hanging out with people as it is a very large space and you can spread out easily. The only thing is the location is a little bit weird as the building is not very noticeable on the outside that it is a coffee shop.Great coffee though and the food taste great, especially since it is gluten-free! I’m not gluten-free myself, but it all tastes great:)

Very cool location with art exhibits and a large local bulletin. The Peruvian mocha was not too sweet, and the sausage quiche was tasty! Highly recommend.

Whoever the brunette is that wears a tight bun with a mouth piercing and a red flannel was pretty rude. she was extremely impatient and then loudly complains in front of customers how “she hates the make your own boba” okay then maybe you shouldn’t work the checkout? as a manger i would be so embarrassed for my employees to act like that, especially when people are spending a good bit of money.

SUPER cool location, best part. great lighting, calm music with comfy furniture and open isolated spaces upstairs. the lady who took our order, was not very friendly.. not welcoming - first impressions matter! the menu was very diverse with drinks and flavors, boba options were super cool but didn’t try. I got a Carmel latte, super good espresso quality but I feel like it’s definitely missing something. my sister got a regular latte and as you can see, our lattes looks VERY different and mine was much more creamy. we would not recommend regular latte, it was made much differently.we got broccoli cheese soup, it was very good the texture was interesting. although didn’t fill the cup :/ then a tomato soup, it was much sweeter than salty or basil tasting. I didn’t like it much personally but filled cup!:) other worker took dishes for us kindly. Overall super a unique place and would return.

Yes, it’s another exposed beam and brick coffee house…sure they are a dime a dozen but Smiley Cafe is an old school building that is offers office space and shares space with some amazing art that you can purchase. It’s worth a visit.

Nice ambience and great crew. but for someone with real celiac, the many offerings sometimes seem cross contaminated. And as this was where I went to grades 7,8,9 as did my mom and dad, as well as my sister and grandma, it's a comfortable place to work on small business issues, and meet with clients and friends. The gluten free carrot cake is awesome, the sandwiches are usually better than I could make at home, and though a little pricey it's hard to beat for drinks and a quick snack.

Situated in a historic junior high building, and co-located with a collective of art studios, the Smiley Cafe is a must stop in Durango. Coffee was excellent, service friendly and efficient, and ambiance will have you relaxing in no time.
