Abby at the bar is super friendly and creative. Consistently good food and service!
Great food and service at a refreshing price point. The crab snowball was one of the best crab cakes I've ever had and I grew up in Maryland on the Chesapeake Bay where blue crab is king. The restaurant is very dark in both color and lighting giving it a small kind of dingy appearance, but the food and service more than make up for this.
My first time to Durango and to the Roost. The staff was very pleasant, the server was very kind. The prime rib was wonderful. The calamari was bland, but that was the only negative. It fits the town well.
Friendly and great food!
The prime rib is excellent and available seven days a week.
Service was outstanding! The bartender was so sweet. Food was excellent!
The employees are SO nice! We had a big group with a lot of complex dietary needs and she recommended multiple items for us and places that fit our needs! So appreciated!
Great first experience! Abby is great and very engaging. Sheri (I hope I got her name correct) was a fantastic server and answered any questions we had efficiently. Plus the Birthday dessert for my man was perfect!
Warning FOOD Poisoning AT THIS Establishment!
Took my little sister out and girlfriend to a nice little dinner. Heard mixed reviews but we went anyways.
Nachos were not that good, came out cold, but we ate em cause we just got finished with a 6hoir road trip and were super hungry.
For the entrees we got the salmon, the French dip and the Parmesan crusted cod. All of I came of room temp/cold but the waiter was so busy with all the other tables he didn’t come back and check so we decided just to eat it.
Everything was decent, not worth the price but good enough to eat when you are super hungry and everywhere else is closed in Durango.
Then at 4am/5am I woke up with cold sweats and a pounding headache. I rushed to the bathroom and became violently ill.
I threw up 3-4 times before I started to feel normal again.
This was the only place we had eaten that day.
I called to tell them what happened and about our experience. The lady who answered was very passive and didn’t seem like she cared. She said she’d call us back and refund our meal.
She never called or refunded our meal.
Hopefully this was just a fluke and their food is better than what we experienced but just in case it’s not I wanted to let others know they could be in for a case of food poisoning if you decide to dine there.
Great place a little pricey but what isn't these days 😅

Great place. Had the filet mignon and the crab cake special. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding.
Went twice in a month. First time both guests got sick from the prime rib. Last time was Saturday and food was not cooked as ordered, bland, and our server got overeat so we saw her only to order and pay. Spent $100 for this. Disappointing
I ate there the first time tonight. Got the fried chicken sandwich, chicken being their specialty. It tasted fine but was very very dry, with no condiments or sauces. Expect to be charged extra for any dipping sauces for this giant chicken tender.
My favorite restaurant in Durango! Staff was so friendly. The Prime Rib was perfect! Everything that was ordered was delicious! I highly recommend eating here
T-bone and shrimp were good
Potato wedges were ok. Chicken fingers were good. Special crab ball was amazing. Mac and cheese 🧀 was good.
