The chef nailed my filet mignon. It was beautiful red center and pink thin edge.
I’ve also had the curry bowl which was lovely. Heard from others that the burger is phenomenal, as well as the prime rib.

Food was really good. Our server couldn't wait to get rid of us, was my feeling. He also didn't know the menu well enough to pronounce certain words correctly. It was as though he was embarrassed to pronounce them any way but incorrectly. Strange guy, but good food.

Amazing service. Our waitress was awesome and so were the rest of the staff, which is a rarity these days. Great food and a good vibe. The wings, fries, Mac and cheese, and fried ravioli were delicious. So were the deserts.

The food was very bland! No flavor. The sauce was very runny. We ordered to walleye and the parmesan crusted cod. I will NOT be back! Find some other place. Very over priced!

The meatloaf dinner was excellent. The parmesan encrusted cod was delicious. The only negative was it was a little heavy on the garlic on the homemade chips and green beans. That comes from a garlic lover.

I’m a regular at the Roost and typically it is very good. Tonight I had a different experience. The prime rib served to me was way over done. It was an end piece when I specifically asked for that to be avoided. When I asked the server to get a different piece I was told there was no other. The server continued debating whether it was over done or not and did not offer a different dish. I decided to just stop complaining and ate 1/2 of it. I did get a complimentary cocktail, but still…. Disappointed in the product and how it was handled.

Very disappointing experience. We came in for a light dinner. My wife ordered the chicken & waffles. When they arrived, they were heavily slathered with maple syrup. That’s not normal or as described. It should be on the side.

We asked to have it replaced. They wouldn’t. The only options were to return it and order another at an additional 1/2 price, or keep it and order another at full price. So we kept it & I guess I’ll eat it for breakfast. That’s a terrible policy. In retrospect we should’ve just walked out, but who knows, they might’ve had us arrested. Choose wisely & go elsewhere

The food was ok at best. They talked about how famous the prime rib was but ran out. So, don't know if it was famous or not. Waitress spent more time at the bar then waiting on tables.

Very nice place. Zeeke was awesome. Great service. Steaks quite nice. Prime rib is just “good”. Seafood not so much. Desserts excellent!! Fast service.

Fantastic meal. Fried calamari, chicken scaloppini with artichokes, and walleye were delicious. Beautiful presentation and flavors. Spicy Pineapple margarita was excellent. Bought some Ancho Retes Verde Chili Poblano liqueur after that one!

Tourist town, tourist food. Had the meat loaf. I recommend you don’t. Tasteless. Don’t know where the mashed potato’s came from, but they were awful, too. I work in a soup kitchen, and I make the mashed potatoes. I know how easy ot is to do good, tasty mashed potatoes. These were neither. These were dished out with an ice cream scoop, near runny, tasteless. They don’t count on return business. I insisted on going here for the ‘loaf and ended up apologizing to my companion ‘cause the dinner was so awful. Entire experience made worst by one waiter (jack? Lots of tats down his right arm, impressive sleeve) who kept shouting at the tables around us about matching wines with “protein.” Couldn’t tune him out, too loud. Bad situation made worse. Ate here Thursday evening, Aug 14, 2025. Won’t be back.
