Im really sad about writing this review…Vista had always been an elegant experience…delicious food and great service set in a luxurious location and building. When we arrived, we were greeted by a woman who had a scowl on her face. She told us as we walked in to the restaurant that we needed to be out by 7:15pm. She never smiled and never wished us a nice evening. We went to dinner with 8 friends. They told us to arrive promptly at an early dinner and we did. Like we were school children we were told that we MUST be out of the restaurant by 7:15pm. We ordered our food and several of us at the table don’t drink and when we informed our waiter that we did not want wine, and he copped an attitude. Several of us ordered Ahi tuna and asked for soy sauce on the side. The waiter proceeded to bring us one cup and when I requested my own, he said, ‘there’s a lot in that cup.” The whole table gasped. He later announced that he would not be splitting the tab. We never asked for it in the first place. The waiter was just vile. The food was just okay…this is NOT the restaurant we liked so much. Go elsewhere….these people don’t appreciate your business.

I’ve been to Vista twice, once last winter and last night. Atmosphere is absolutely wonderful with fire and Micky playing piano in the background! This visit was with my husband and another couple. We enjoyed martinis and good suggestions from the server. The filet, Caesar salad and wasabi potatoes were delicious! The halibut was good but not the best quality for the price. The trout was very good and sizable portion. Short ribs very good. We enjoyed our dinner and will be back!

This was a dinner with friends to celebrate our 55th anniversary. Waitress was ungracious and totally matter of fact. We ordered 3 beef ribs and 1 halibut. I asked our guest how was his fish. He was reluctant to complain(he was our guest) but said it was dry. I sampled it. Halibut is one of my favorites and his was overcooked and flavorless. All of the beef eaters agreed the beef was tasty but overly fatty. My wife’s spinach was so salty, she quit after a forkful. When I complained to manager, he wisely took the fish off bill and comped desserts. If it wasn’t for our great company, the overall experience would have been a disaster. The bill + tip, even with removing fish and comped desserts neared$300. Conclusion: overrated, overpriced , underwhelming food experience. Will not return. Docsacks

Met some old friends here just the other night. I loved the ambiance in the old Vista. The new Vista is very mountain modern and beautiful as well. This is a great place to visit any time of year. The outdoor deck, now expanded, is gorgeous. Staff is very personable and efficient. We loved being seated near the fireplace and the piano, as Micky Poage is a Vail treasure. You name it, he can play it. Menu is expansive and we loved every course.

We have often been guests here ... both in the summer and winter. And we always had a great meal and great service. The latter was also the case this time ... but the food was rather stall and tasteless. Very different to prior visits. Maybe because it was the last day before 2 days off for the kitchen or the later seating. But the food - both appetizer and main courses - did not convince by any means. Disappointing.

We have eaten here twice before and it's been a lovely dining experience in the past. This visit was once again for an anniversary celebration and we were excited to come back for dinner. Same friendly and attentive service, same lovely outside ambience on the terrace overlooking the 9th green, same delicious food (given that we only ever order the short ribs - best value on the menu for sure!). But this time we noticed a few small changes which took away from our prior experiences. The restaurant did a renovation and we're not sure why they did, as the restaurant was already lovely and elegant before. Also, the young women at the host station were not as competent, gracious and welcoming as in the past - disappointing at the start of a dining experience. Lastly, we're used to receiving a confirmation phone call prior to the reservation and we never got that, so I had to call and confirm our reservation myself. If you've got host staff, then why aren't they paying attention to that detail? Small things, but noticed and wish they would find a way to return to the way it was before.

We have dined on their lovely patio many times for lunch. They have a nice lunch menu, at reasonable prices. This was our first time at dinner in a while, at least since before Covid. Found the clubhouse completely renovated. Gone is the warm, mountain style, replaced with a sterile, modern lobby, in shades of beige, with those awful modern fireplaces that look like glorified barbecue grills. The restrooms are very nice, but they were nice before the renovation. The dining room, also in shades of beige, is s bit nicer. The chairs are comfortable, there is carpeting on the floor. Another God awful barbecue fireplace. Nice menu, but the prices have become astronomical. My Caesar salad was terrible. The dressing was not good, the lettuce was tough, and the white anchovies tasted old. $46 for "rack of lamb", consisting of 3 lamb chops. And that's a la carte, if you want 2 accompaniments, it's $12 more. $58! for an entree! My grilled trout, at $38 was accompanied by some average sauteed spinach and fettuccine with no sauce. The piccata sauce served with the fish was heavy on butter and not seasoned well. Pricey wine list. Cannot complain about the service, it was fine. I realize they cater to club members and the deep pockets crowd, but I would like to feel like I'm getting my money's worth, and I definitely did not. Gotta pay for the renovation, I guess. We are finding the price of dining in this valley very limiting. Reasonably priced, good restaurants are becoming few and far between.

Delicious food, dinner is accompanied by one of the best piano players in the valley, Micky Polk.. excellent seafood, professional and friendly service.... it may be closed winter 2020 for afew months into summer due to renovations...

We love coming here each year when we visit Beaver Creek. Our experience this year was as great as in the past. The views are spectacular, food is magnificent, and prices for the quality served quite reasonable. For example, we ordered a premium glass of red wine we love for $18 (a bit of a splurge for us). I saw the same wine at a restaurant in Beaver Creek Village priced at $25! Other drinks (Cosmos) were very reasonably priced as well and delicious. Love this place!

We were staying in Arrowhead so the restaurant was very convenient. We enjoyed the food and beverages. The prices are a little steep but about what you would expect to be on the mountain.

We were celebrating a very significant night and were so lucky to have Catherine as our server. We also had a very obnoxious guest w us and she handled it perfectly. The food was off the charts and the piano man played frozen! I’d highly recommend vista for anything. So amazing.

Everything was good. A bit overpriced but given the location it makes sense. We thought it was more casual but found it to be a bit more on the dressy side.

Great restaurant, friendly staff, excellent service. Lots of naturally gluten free options if needed. Highlight = Micky Poage - exceptional pianist, fantastic repertoire, brilliant entertainer!
