The game platter & Rocky Mt oysters were a delight for our out-of-town guests. The elk steak & bison ribeye were simply perfect. Their make-your-own combo suited those with small appetites.

We tried to eat here for lunch last week. Sat down and never was served. We ended up leaving with out ordering. I think they were under staffed.

Went to dinner with two other couples. Was very disappointed to hear they would not bill individual couples. My wife and I wanted to try the meat platter. We didn’t feel comfortable running up a bill for our friends to help pay. Asked the waitress again she stuck her fingers in her ears and said she doesn’t want to hear it. We order a buffalo burger and fish and chips. No drinks. I ordered the burger medium rare it came well done. The message was sent loud and clear.
The waitress added in her tip split the bill three ways.
We will simply never go back.
Bad management, lazy work habits. Not concerned about their clients at all.

A lovely anniversary celebration! It was great to be greeted with Happy Anniversary when we arrived. Our waiter continued to acknowledge that it was a special day for us and made it fun and festive. I Am sorry I don't have his name but he is also a tour guide in the Grand Canyon! We were also given a generous discount to mark the occasion! The rack of lamb was superb, as were the crabcakes! ! the dessert ,apple pie a la mode just wonderful. It was a memorable evening, another in the long list of memories we have of the Gas House over the years!

After a day of sightseeing, we were late getting back to the condo and we saw this little restaurant in the corner of the road as we entered. I thought oh my what are we doing. Boy did I get shocked our server a young man named Connor was absolutely wonderful Very on point in making sure we had everything we needed and even apologetic when he forgot the bread, which turned out to be a great thing because I had it with my soup. I had the hunters soup and a house salad absolutely delicious. My husband had blackened salmon. It’s probably the best dinner we had in the eight days we vacation in Colorado. I highly recommend to anybody.

Extremely Disappointed After 35 Years of Loyalty
We’ve been loyal customers of this restaurant for over 35 years and have always considered it one of our favorite spots. Unfortunately, our most recent experience was so disappointing that we won’t be returning.
We had a 7:15 reservation and were seated on time, but we sat at the table with no service for 45 minutes. Not a single server came to take our order, even as we watched other tables, who arrived well after us, receive immediate attention. A table of eight next to us was greeted and served promptly, while we were completely ignored.
When we finally got up and informed the manager, her only response was, “Well, someone brought you water.” That response, combined with the lack of service, made it clear that our presence and loyalty meant very little.
To add to our growing concerns, during a visit this past winter, we actually saw a mouse running around our feet inside the dining room. While we tried to be understanding, knowing the building is old, it seems like standards across the board have been slipping.
It’s deeply disappointing to see a place we’ve loved for so long lose its warmth and hospitality. We have a second home nearby and have recommended this restaurant to countless friends over the years. Sadly, we’ll now be updating them about our recent experience instead.
We sincerely hope management turns things around, but after this visit, we will not be back.
