Amazing food quality, taste , and presentation. Our dinner was fantastic and was accompanied by drinks and dessert. Highly recommended!
I made a reservation several days in advance and the host sat us by the front door entrance, right next to where the kitchen/serving dishes come out so it was very noisy and we had servers constantly around us to pick up plated food. When I asked the host if he could move us, he made no effort what so ever to help us and he immediatley told me no, that the restaurant was full. There were 5 in our group and the fact that the host was not even willing to look for an option table or the fact that we booked way in advance was very disappointing. The main entrees were good but the salmon portion was very small for the price. The salad and the side vegetable dishes were also tiny for the price. So go for the entrees but skip the salad and side dishes would be my advice.
After many years of enjoying consistently excellent meals at Juniper in the Vail Valley, our most recent visit fell short of expectations. The restaurant was offering a 50% off entrées special, which understandably drew a large crowd. However, the volume of guests appeared to overwhelm the staff and space. We had a reservation for 6:15 and arrived just a few minutes late, but there was already confusion regarding our seating. We were eventually placed at a four-top, but the tables were so tightly packed that it made for a very uncomfortable dining experience. Even the patrons seated behind us expressed visible discomfort. To their credit, the waitstaff did their best to manage the situation and accommodate everyone. As always, the food quality remained excellent—Juniper never disappoints in that regard. That said, the portions seemed noticeably smaller, while prices have continued to climb. Will we return? Absolutely—Juniper remains a favorite. But next time, we'll avoid visiting during high-volume specials, as they clearly impact the overall experience!
Juniper Restaurant is one of my favorite restuarants in the Vail Valley! As a longtime local, they offer great food, a wonderful wine list, and yummy craft cocktails! We also love that Doug and his team offer their end of season discounts as well. A nice treat after a long winter season!
We believe Juniper to be the best restaurant in the Vail Valley. Always friendly and consistent!
The food is amazing and only cushioned by the amazing staff! Professionally delicious all around! Thank you Juniper!
Always a pleasure to dine at Jupiter! We were a party of six, everyone ordered something different and everything was delicious. A gem in the valley
Food is always excellent, as well as outstanding service. Ask for a table at the back, the front tables are a bit uncomfortable, but no real issue.
It was wonderful, the food was fantastic, the hostess was lovely and our waiter was fabulous 💗
Vacationing in Avon and had dinner at Juniper. Wow - what a fantastic meal. What an incredibly surprise to find out that all entrees 50% off. Normally, we get a salad, appetizer, and entree and share b/w two people. Given the prices on the entrees, we decided to get two entrees and share both. We had the filet and the short ribs. Both were fantastic. But what made our meals special was the side dishes that accompanied both entrees. Really interesting combinations. Not the boring sides you get elsewhere. Had a fantastic blueberry tart for dessert. Great meal. Great service.

The best meal of our trip. Delicious trout made special for us as we asked to be prepared like the halibut on menu.

Lovely setting — our table overlooking the river area. The butternut squash ravioli and corn bisque were terrific. The veal scaloppine needed a salty flavor and parmesan chunks versus fresh mozzarella would have been a better fit. The pork chop had perfect accompaniments of apples and Brussels sprouts.
Wonderful service beginning with our visit with the manager to our server, Fred. Fred was friendly, attentive, helpful on food selection and informative on the area. We were celebrating our son's new job and move. We were seated on the back patio with views and sounds of the river. The food and drinks were exceptional. We will be back. Highly Recommend!!
Everything was great with the exception of the wine list which was way expensive. Some folks may want to pay hundreds of dollars for wine, but it would also be nice to have some bottles of Bordeaux Grand Cru, Italian and decent California cabs in the 60-80 range - there are many in this category that will still allow you a nice profit as I drink them often.
The people could NOT have been nicer! From our first greeting to accommodate a nice table to the bartender, our waitress was excellent! My husband had the tuna and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the veal dish which I felt had little flavor, salad was good but salty... but a lovely evening... I would go back but order differently. Lovely spot!
