We were staying in Idaho Springs and ate here one day for lunch. The food was very good and served by very friendly people. The grilled cheese sandwich was one of the best I've ever had! We shared a chocolate shake that was delicious. Enjoyed it so much, we returned the next day. Will be back the next time we are in the area.

This is a truly a "mom and pop" place. Both people seem to really enjoy what they're doing and are especially friendly. My husband ordered the "Christmas Chili" (half traditional red chili and and half green chili, served on a bed or Fritos). He commented several time how much he enjoyed it. His meal also came with a cheese stick, bag of chips, a stem of red grapes and a pre-packaged Rice Krispie bar. I ordered a grilled turkey/provolone sandwich which also came with a cheese stick, stem of red grapes, and 2 small butter cookies. We purchased 2 bottles of water and the bill before tip came to less than $20. The food was delicious, lots of it, and very reasonably priced. Wish we'd had time (and room) for dessert but the fudge and ice cream offering looked really good. Worth a stop!

We love this place, although parking may be limited. They have great ice cream and pies to die for! The new location is still on the main drag a block or two West of their former location. This is a much nicer facility!

Lewis Sweet Shop is now catering our Grab-N-Go Breakfast Burritos - the chorizo burrito has their signature pork green chili and the pork burrito is made with Sweet Shop BBQ pulled pork - we think their pretty tasty!
We always had food here mostly- and it was always very good. There bbq pork, brisket is awesome, any of the appetizers are great, and of course there I’ve cream shakes are amazing!
