I loved coming here for drive thru. But for the first time when I entered and witnessed a person in the kitchen rubbing their eye as they were putting on their apron, and another person in the kitchen (who did not seem to be kitchen staff at the time) rub their entire face, mustache and beard with their hand right above the cooking station, I got my doubts on the hygiene of this establishment. This happened in the span of the minute of me ordering food for dine in. Indoors hasn’t really been updated since 1990. Mostly a cheap lipstick on the old furniture and decor. Food is better than fast food, but worse than a $20/30 fancy dine in burger. Affordable still. But the lack of hygiene scared me off.

Good alternative to other overpriced food in town. In Oct '24, the average price of a sandwich and side here is about $15 per person, but that's considerably cheaper than most other sit down restaurants in Estes. Our 4-person group ordered a chicken sandwich, double cheeseburger, an Elk burger, and a single cheeseburger, all with fries or onion rings (no drinks) and the bill was a little under $60. Please keep in mind that this is not a traditional sit down restaurant. This is more like a burger stand. They have counter ordering or drive thru, and the sit down area isn't the most attractive, but there is a nice view of the mountains. The burgers are big (the Elk burger had the best flavor to us) and the onion rings are great! The fries are similar to Mickey D's but a slight bit larger. Overall, decent place to get food and a step up in quality from fast food. The person taking the order was very nice and the wait time from order to eating was just shy of 10 minutes. If you're coming back to town from RMNP, a decent place to stop off and grab a bite without waiting forever and dropping a ton of dough.

This place was absolutely phenomenal! Arguably the best chili cheese dog I’ve ever had!!! I’d eat here everyday if I was local! If you’re even remotely close to the area stop here! Burger and fries were also great! Staff was friendly and service was fresh and quick! 10/10!
Everything is made on the spot, and jt isn't a fast food restaurant. It takes time to make, and everything here id absolutely amazing. Heavily recommended.

Parking: Drive-thru around the back will be kind of a tight fit if you have oversized truck/SUV. Parking lot seems big enough for what it is.
