Cozy, but had nice amenities like fireplace, table/chairs, ceiling fan, coffee maker, etc. Some of the exterior walkway lighting was out, except for the moth fest going on right outside our door. The onsite restaurant was great - but breakfast service, or at least coffee would have made it perfect - they didn't open until noon.

Beautiful place and location. Right beside a scenic river.

Absolutely beautiful property! We didn't want to leave. Requested to stay an extra night, no answer by phone and voice mailbox was full but response by email was prompt. Sign was faded and hard to see from road but automated check in instructions by email were clear - should save them/ read thoroughly before arriving in case no cell signal. Rushing brook was running through the property and our room/building was RIGHT next to it, stunning views! Room was cozy, clean, homey, rustic. Gas fireplace worked, put out heat. Restaurant next to property was great, old-fashioned, comfortable place.

We rolled into town very late to check in here, and could not figure out how to do so. They were supposed to have sent check-in instructions earlier that day via email and they hadn't, so I eventually ended up on the phone with someone in Texas who was able to tell me how to get into our room. May or may not have had to do with the fact I booked with a third party site? So that was alarming thinking that we were going to have to find somewhere new to stay at midnight. But once everything was sorted out, our stay was great. The bed was comfortable, the price was ideal, the AC worked well, the river running through the property is beautiful. Could not be better located for the east side of RMNP! Looks like this place was significantly cheaper since it was off-season, but I would stay here again if I could get the same rate I did on Memorial day!

We recently stayed at this resort for a wedding weekend, and while there were a few positives, overall, the experience didn’t justify the price tag.

Pros:
One of the highlights was being granted an early check-in, which was really helpful as we needed time to get ready for a wedding. The customer service team was friendly and responded quickly once we managed to get in touch with them. Additionally, the resort's location is very convenient—just a short distance from town, which made it easy to access shops, restaurants, and other local spots.

Cons:
We were notified that our room was ready early, which was great—except we weren’t given clear instructions on how to check in. There’s no front desk or on-site staff, so without reliable cell service in the area, figuring things out became unnecessarily stressful.

The room itself also left a bit to be desired. There was no ventilation fan in the bathroom—so we hope you really like your travel mates, because there’s nothing to help with bathroom odors or humidity after a shower. We also noticed some stains on the pillows—not the ones used for sleeping, thankfully, but still not something you expect at this price point.

Bottom Line:
The resort has potential, and the staff was pleasant once we were able to communicate with them. The proximity to town is a definite plus. But between the unclear check-in process, subpar room cleanliness, and small design oversights, the experience didn’t quite live up to the price.

You get what you pay for.
Pros
The location is great. 4 minutes from RMNP. Close to Estes Park too. Self check in was nice. Had a lock box with keys in it for the door.
Cons
We paid extra for an updated room. It was still very dirty. The towels all had stains on them and had a brown color to them. We wanted to get more towels because we only got 2 but there was no service desk so no one to ask so I had to use the hand towels. The carpet was also stained. The walls had brown streaks on them. I don’t think the heater had been dusted since it was put in. Plus it was either no heat or 100 degrees. No in between.
The door was very tricky to lock. We always had to try it 3-4 times before we could get it to lock. It would lock on the bottom but not the top most of the time.
The parking lot is WAY too small. We had chevy 1500 truck and it barely fit between the lines and it stuck out past the lines into the parking lot. I was sure someone was going to door ding or hit us while we were parked there.

We will definitely pay extra to get a better place next time!

Everything is contactless. So I can't rate the service. But a great location to stay at. Room was cozy and comfortable.

Great place in a great location. Righr between the Rocky Mountains National Park and Estes park. You do need to text for service, so be sure to do so.

Rooms: Comfortable beds, and the room has everything you need.

Nearby activities: The Colorado Mountains National Park is just up the hill, and down town Estes park is 2 minutes away.

Rooms were clean and beds were comfy. As we only stayed for one night we didn't get to see much of the surrounding area. But even though we booked the room at the day of our arrival (Expedia) we received an email with check in instructions / code for the door lock within an hour. Would certainly stay here again!

My husband and I love this hotel in Estes Park. The prices are extremely reasonable and they make sense - the less expensive accommodations will get you a smaller, simpler room. The buildings are on the older side, but the rooms still have that small cabin woodsy charm. Their staff is amazing and the cleanliness is top-notch!
