Wild Rose has great food, but that’s not unusual in Estes. The staff are friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and efficient. When visiting Estes we dine there at least twice per week.

We went here to grab a bite after we found out that our favorite restaurant in Estes wasn't open. I had the fish and it was amazing, so were the sides. I ordered more of the couscous it was that good! Service was great, our waiter was hands on but not pushy, very helpful and answered all our questions. Definitely a place to eat if you visit Estes!

It was ok. I guess I was expecting something fancier on the inside for the price of some of the plates. Services was great, as was the wine selection. My son reported that the men's restroom had some graffiti and the hand dryer didn't work.

If I’m being honest, for where it is in Estes, it could be better. Food was ok, service was great, but most of all the restaurant itself was blah. Bathrooms were disgusting and half the restaurant was boarded up with OSB board. For what they charge for food and drink they could spruce the place up more. Don’t know for sure, but there are probably better places to eat.

It's very noisy even with not many people inside. The food is good - the menu is a little limited, though, at least during the winter. No bison on the menu today, just elk and beef. I had trout, which was a little plain but the couscous had a good flavor. Server attentive and nice.

Food and drinks were very flavorful. View is great by the windows. Service was delightful. We ate there on Christmas Day, so hopefully on non-holiday days staff is full and a bit quicker. It did not distract from the over all experience though.I would return. It’s a little tricky to find, it’s the same building as Stanley Chocolate.

We had the Wild Sampler, which was decent. The elk salami was really good, but there wasn't much of it. I had the elk burger, ordered medium rare. It was decent, definitely seemed like a mass produced patty though. My wife had the Wild Rose burger. She managed to finish it, but said it was nasty. My teenage daughter had the blackened ribeye, ordered medium rare. It was served rare, but she loves that, so it worked out. We were surprised to be the only people there at 645 on a Friday night, but it was nice! Our server was very attentive and polite, as was the hostess.

We saw a MOUSE passing through the room which left us perplexed about the hygiene of this establishment!! In addition the food is very mediocre and the service extremely cold. Save your money and don't go there.

When your child and husband come out of the bathroom and say that the best thing about this place is the bathroom you know something is wrong (see picture!) Honestly, the food was awful all around. It did not smell very good when we got there but we decided to stay and give it a try. Looking back I wish we would have just turned around and left. The ribeye was not good. The chicken was disastrous. Although the food was terrible, the drinks were delicious. Maybe just stop in for drinks……. TLDR……Save your money!

Ordered a hungry hiker burger and elk medallions. Both were very good. We were hesitant in going since there were so many mixed reviews from excellent to horrendous. We are glad we gave it a try. The roasted potatoes were overdone.

Unfortunately, every dish ordered at our table arrived cold, and our waiter didn't check in on us for 20 minutes.Too bad I was looking forward to eating there.

First the good, the Sauerbraten is wonderful, so are the drinks on the happy hour menu, the servers have always been polite. The So so, the rest of the food is overpriced and not very good. The servers are slow to come to the table and take your order, your lucky if they come back again except to bring your check which you have to flag them down to get. The bad, they do not have consistent hours or days, do not go by what you see online. The summer (tourist season) the hours are pretty reliable, the rest of the year it's a guessing game.

The ambiance is unique/quirky. Ignore the bad service. Let's talk about the food... Most everyone at the table RAVED about their meal. I ordered Sauerbraten, don't ask me why, I've never in my life eaten/ordered sauerbraten but if it's always this good, OH MY JEEBERS! Apparently this is traditional German pot roast. Let's go out for German food friends. Sauerbraten please! Wowza the cooks at Wild Rose know how to make this dish. Larry had the shaved Ribeye sandwich and loved that. Andre recommends the smoked trout dip. He talked about it the rest of our trip. Danielle, our token vegetarian enjoyed her fettuccine Alfredo. But as long as it's meat-free she's happy (so she doesn't count) This was our favorite meal of the Estes Park trip. We would definitely eat here again and highly recommend you give it a try when you're in the area. 5stars despite the bad service because there were 10 of us and we can be difficult.
