We visit whenever we make it to Estes. The staff are AMAZING! The burgers are good. The day we went it was busy but an amazing staff member was working through the busy line with a tablet to reduce wait time. My 7 year old got a shake and spilled it 5 minutes in. They remade the shake free of charge which was entirely unexpected and beyond appreciated. We will always go back.
With me being on vacation, I wanted to try something new. Before leaving my hotel, I looked to see what time they closed, which was 7pm.
I arrive at 5:48 pm and they are closed. They could have at least put a sign on the door, but nope. I guess they were to cheap to do so.
They lost my business.

Penelope's World Famous Burgers & Fries is a popular restaurant known for its delicious burgers and friendly service. Visitors often enjoy the Swiss Mushroom and Baja burgers, which are highly recommended, though some find the meat a bit overcooked or the fries a little oily. The atmosphere is casual and fun, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. The staff is friendly and accommodating, contributing to a positive experience. Although the prices are on the higher side, many feel the quality of the food makes it worth it. The restaurant is clean and recently renovated, with a lively vibe that keeps guests coming back whenever they are in Estes Park. Overall, Penelope's offers top-tier burgers and fries in a welcoming setting.
