My daughter goes to school in Denver. She and her friends at university go to coffee shops around the area for the experience. I was in town last weekend from Fort Worth and she wanted to show me this new place she had found in Evergreen. We parked in the lot across the street. Purchased an hour for $5.75. It was busy, so we got our drinks and pastries and went walking the open shops. Great drinks, and great service. Looks like, had we beaten the crowd, we would have stayed for a while and visited. All went great and again she was proud to have introduced me to Muddy Buck.Today we received overdue parking notice for $82.00. It was from early February when my daughter and her friends found the place. They had purchased 1.5hrs at the lot and after visiting for a bit they left to go back to Denver. The went over 26min. And that triggered an $82.00 fine. And to pay it online includes an additional $5.00 convenience fee.So, for the pleasure of enjoying the atmosphere for 1hr and 56min at Muddy Buck, she paid $100 after the coffee, tip, and the parking racket. Needless to say, she and her college friends can't afford to return there and get extorted by the Evergreen parking lots.Maybe there is free parking somewhere close. But we won't be able to find that out because the message has been received loud and clear: don't come to Evergreen.

Love the interior and the atmosphere of Muddy Buck. Really unique mountain vibes. I’ve found that their espresso drinks and the breakfast burritos are the best thing on the menu. I’ve been disappointed by the lunch options and straight coffee here.

Delicious food and drinks, everyone was super friendly and accommodating. Very cute mountain town vibes. Also the owners are supporters of the arts in Evergreen.

Absolutely one of my favorite breakfasts in town. Pictured is a copious serving of avocado toast with zucchini, havarti, bacon and a sunny side egg, which was cooked to perfection. A pure culinary delight accompanied by a serious dose of espresso to help make my office work more tolerable.

Great little coffee shop in Downtown Evergreen! The BLTA speaks for itself, but the environment is so cozy!

I tried the Buck after not going for years. Undrinkable mocha. Hot outside, frozen in the middle dry flavorless scone.

"Sorry for the wait"?? How about "Sorry we forgot to make your food", or "Sorry that it took 45 minutes for you to realize that you could have sat here all day and no one would have ever acknowledged you. "

I have never felt it necessary to leave a review, but after my experience, something had to be said. I went to Muddy Buck to meet with some friends that I hadn't seen in a while and it was lovely. The staff were very kind and friendly and they gave me really good recommendations. My coffee was perfect and the avocado toast was just what I needed. I loved the environment and homey atmosphere. 10 minutes into meeting with my friends, two younger girls came in and started yelling at the workers behind the counter. It sounded like one of the girls was the owners daughter. Screaming profanities, shouting at the employees, and telling them to "leave her store" She ended up, slapping one of the workers and storming out. Shortly after she left, we decided to leave and so did a couple others in the cafe. I felt very uncomfortable to say the least. This girl needs to be fired immediately. If there is any relation to the owners, they should be embarrassed for how she treated the workers is disgusting and the customers was beyond disrespectful. Such a shame to have what would have been an amazing experience ruined.
