Started eating here in 2014. moved away for five years and just got back. They still got the best smoked meats🤤😋🫶

We were sadly disappointed. Flavors just didn’t vibe for us. Mac and cheese and asparagus were flavorless. Brisket was more like bacon but not as flavorful. Bbq sauces didn’t accent the meat well. Arnold palmer was not good and had a fly in the first one. Ribs were burnt and tasted unappealing. the fries were the best part but weren’t anything that would take me back. Sadly disappointed.

Best smoked meat I've ever had. I liked that I could choose which BBQ sauce I wanted and use as much, or as little as I wanted to. The sweet tea was fresh and tasted great. We want to visit again soon!

One of my favorites in Colorado, the food and location cannot be beat. Always take friends and family here from out of town.

A cute barbecue spot with banging food. Switchback smokehouse has some of the best barbecue in the area. Their inventive menu blends BBQ Staples with deli sandwiches. And! Don't forget the ice cream next door. A day at Switchback Smokehouse is a perfect day in my book.

I ordered coleslaw and brisket and when they brought it out I almost thought they were joking because the $2 coleslaw came in the size of a dipping sauce container. The $12 brisket was thinly sliced about the size of bacon and seemed like lunch meat. Tasted good, but I felt like I got kid portions.

Best smokehouse I’ve been to in Colorado. Whole family loved it. Going to be a weekend tradition! Sweet tea, pulled pork, smoked duck, potato salad and bacon were amazing!

Our go-to place when we don't want to cook or we have family or friends in town. Amazing food. Great service. The ribs are a must. And the margaritas 😊 Thank you Daryl and Rachel for your hospitality. Highly recommended

My son and I had the ribs, which were fabulous-moist, tender, flavorful, with the meat falling off the bone. My husband had the sausage, which he said was just ok. We split sides of Mac n cheese, potato salad and baked beans, which we all found to be mediocre. With some improvement on the sides, this could be a top notch place.

I don't often see smoked duck breast at a BBQ joint, so I had to check it out. Long story short, great food but I experienced bad service. YMMV. We won't be back, what a shame.

Food: Ordered the Broken Rover, District 5, and a smoked duck breast. The District 5 is a hit! The flavor combination is amazing and the duck isn't as heavy like other meats. The duck breast and Broken Rover with the thinly sliced brisket also great.

Service: Overweight, 40-something white guy needs to chill. This guy started raising his voice and gave me attitude after he mistook my order and saw me grabbing (2) dollar bags of chips when he thought I was entitled to only one. If I hadn't already paid I would have left. Maybe since I'm Hispanic? IDK...

Location: On the way back from the mountains, plenty of outdoor seating.

As you can see from the pictures, this is how we received our sandwiches from this place. I Don’t understand the long lines cause it’s not all that and just judging by the way we received our food, we will NOT be back.

Google is not allowing me to post the pics but rest assured, they were both a hot mess.

We split two sandwiches, pulled pork and the BLT. We thoroughly enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich. The pork was very tender and moist. My companion thought it was too small for the $, he said it should be on a wider bun instead of a small brioche bun. However we do recommend the pork. We like the different sauces on the table. Unfortunately the BLT sandwich was not very good. It is very thick chewy bacon, almost like eating a jerky sandwich. It should be cooked longer to be crispy, or cut thinner so it’s not so chewy and fatty. Hard to eat.

We wish we had gotten the ribs, those came out to another table looking good.

The $7 little individual tub of potato salad tasted like it came directly from the big plastic tub they sell at Kroger. We had hoped it would be creamy and different. The fries being served to another table looked very good. The $7 side of cucumber salad did not taste fresh, maybe a day old or so, very thin cucumbers that were soggy not crispy.

The sweet tea was really delicious, perfect, and good sized.

Very nice staff taking orders out front and serving our food.

Parked past the restaurant on side of road.

It was 1:30 pm Thursday and the chicken, sausage and brisket was sold out. Go earlier for better selection.

$58 for two sandwiches, two sides, two teas.
