We just left Platte River Saloon after an awesome lunch! Thank you to our amazing server (I did not catch her name!) who was extremely busy today but managed a great attitude and gorgeous smile the entire time! She made it a great experience even though they got crazy busy and our wait was a little longer than expected. My entire group left full and satisfied. We all agreed we would definitely be back! Thank you!
We stopped in from Salida on the way back to Boulder.
The Cobb Salad and River Ribs were fantastic and I must mention how nice Pete and Lisa were to all their customers, and even those folks who were just strolling around the town on a pleasant Sunday afternoon!

Platte River Saloon is a hole-in-the-wall bar popular with locals and friendly to out-of-town visitors. The small kitchen offers delicious homemade bar food, including hot and cold sandwiches, calzones, ribs, and pizzas. Portions are filling, and the food is prepared with pride and love. The bar has a family-friendly seating area, and visitors can enjoy a great beer selection and an amazing atmosphere. The service was awesome and certain foods were very good, like Pizza, Reuben, Salads, and Loaded Tots. Haus, who answered all questions about the menu, shared interesting history regarding the building and offered amazing baked beans and slaw. Hoss was awesome, very welcoming and accommodating, turning the Avs game on and offering great prices on shots. The facility itself was warm and full of history, quieter than its counterpart next door.
