Austin's American Grill

I've been eating at Austin's for many years, my first date with my husband was here actually. We love the rotisserie chicken and usually like the Cole slaw (although last time it was dry, hard & gross, so we haven't ordered it again). They've gotten rid of some of my other favorite dishes too. Today I took my daughter in for a nice lunch before a musical and for some shopping, we were dressed very nicely. We were seated promptly in a booth as I had requested in my reservation, however the hostess received a phone call mid seating and instead of waiting until we sat down to give us our menus etc, she answered right away. she chucked them on the table haphazardly and basically ran away and didn't even look at us , I said thanks (not sure why I thanked her) and she didn't even hear me or acknowledge me. Then we sat there for a good while and I mentioned to my daughter well I hope we at least have a server! A male waiter saw that we were sitting there when he was helping another table and came over to get us started and talked up “our amazing server Morgan” who was going to take over later. Well she never took over, he ended up having to be our server. He was tasked with working inside and outside tables and they were clearly VERY understaffed for a busy Sunday brunch/lunch. He did the best he could but we waited a long time for my check and we were on a time schedule. I do not blame him for that, I blame management and short staffing. As I recall the other time we were here in May we had very slow service as well. I was just thankful he cared enough to serve us because clearly Morgan wasn't as wonderful as he said because she never showed. So my reviews do not reflect poorly on him. It's the overall experience and management understaffing on a weekend. There was no time to refill my daughter's drink he was too busy, checked on us as he ran by once, the food was good but not amazing. I hate to say this but Austin's will likely not be my first choice anymore for lunch

Good and service were exceptional, as always. It's the reason we return to Austin's Old Town whenever celebrating meaningful family occasions. My only caveat is the price of prime rib dinner doesn't seem in line with other steak meals.

The service was great. The noise level outside was sometimes distracting. The food quality and service was the best.

I misread my online reservations and showed up two hours early. The hostess was very accommodating and made it work for our party of seven. Our food and server (Logan) were outstanding. Everyone in our party loved it.

Stopped here on the way back from fishing to load up. Very glad we did! The sprouts were CRAZY good! The mocktails were excellent

We were a large party of 10. Macy and the team were all hands on deck taking our order and delivering hot food hot and promptly. Thank you!

To start I'd just like to say I'm not the person to write reviews after being in the service industry in Fort Collins for over 20 years. There's the good and bad in every dining experience but this time it was unacceptable. Tried to take my girlfriend out for a nice dinner after she spent all day in med school and thought Austin's would be a good change of scenery, big mistake. The server was not only pretentious but a robot in how he spoke to us like we were lesser individuals. After one drink each we tried to order another round when the manager approached us and said the server thought she was to intoxicated to have another. If you can't read the client to know what intoxication looks like then maybe it's the server who should be questioned on how to read the client. In the long run we told the manager thank you for the drinks and would like to pay the tab so we could find somewhere else that would appreciate our service. The crown pub was our next choice and not only was the food great but the staff was impeccable and most gracious. It's just disappointing when you try to have a nice night with your significant after a long hard day and are made to feel like you're not welcome.

Austin’s American Grill totally hit the spot on our girls weekend in Fort Collins! The staff was so friendly—our waitress even became our honorary photographer and got us the cutest group photo (thanks for the memories!).
I ordered the shredded pork Banh Mi special and wow… flavor explosion. Fresh, tangy, savory—basically a party in my mouth. And don’t even get me started on the sweet potato fries. Crispy, salty, and so good I considered guarding them with my life.
If you’re looking for great food, good vibes, and the kind of service that makes you feel like a regular, Austin’s is your place!

Had a fair sized family gathering on a Sunday night. Excellent food (looking at you pot pie), nice atmosphere. No loud music that you couldn't talk over, so conversation was easy. Great dinner location. Service was excellent.

The forgotten booth.

Sat and waited.. and waited....and finally found someone to bring us waters.

Ordered food and the chicken and ribs were very dry.. as if they had been sitting for a long time.

Great food and drinks and excellent service. My steak was cooked perfectly and was delicious! Look forward to visiting again soon.

First our waitress was smiling, friendly, got our order quickly and explained it's on menu took care us in a friendly way. Love the appetizer of the Corn bread and then enjoyed our dinner in a relaxed atmosphere. Great place to enjoy a dinner out.
