Friendly staff and management and great diner food. It’s our go-to on weekends. It can get a little crowded on weekends, especially on football Saturdays and in nice weather. Definitely try the Lincoln Omelet- sausage, Swiss cheese, and Hatch chiles.

First off, this is a blue collar joint. Your money goes further. They left quite the first impression on us. Good portions at a fair price. The owner told us, "Don't come here if you're on a diet." We're from the midwest and this is the PERFECT blend of midwest/southern comfort food. The owners introduced themselves to us and seemed like super genuine guys. You can taste the hard work, love and passion in the food. You can, literally, taste the difference. They do all the little things right. Service was prompt, but never pushy. The bread pudding was the best I've ever had and the sausage gravy tastes like your aunt's. The chicken fried steak meal is a country boy meal. Maybe our new favorite place for breakfast. And there's even a large patio outside. These folks know how to cook, smoke and bake and you can tell they're proud of their product. 10/10! Planning on going back next weekend to try the smoked prime rib. Thank you so much for the hospitality! We'll be back!! Also, PLEASE try the pork green chili!!!
Horrible food, and Sheldon the co owner was not bright enough to get the order correct. When I asked for what I ordered, he said I was rude. Then had the audacity to say we all come in asking for free food. They cannot even get a decafe coffee right. Avoid this overpriced garbage with even worse customers service. Go to Silver grill or Ginger and Baker for wonderful food, and great service. Both have cinnamon rolls 100% better!

Wow! what a great experience and super delicious food! We hadn't been to the Backporch Cafe in a while and came back today (Friday AM). The young man who greeted and seated us was extremely friendly and we were in our seats in less than a minute. We sat right by the window and it was a great location on a beautiful, sunny winter morning. Our server, Regina, was right there to take our order and get our coffee. While we waited a short amount of time the Chef/Owner popped out of the kitchen to welcome us and ask how we were doing. It is really neat to hear from him and hear his enthusiasm he has for his food, service and the restaurant in general. Overall we had a great experience and a wonderful breakfast. We liked it so much, I bought a freshly baked loaf of rye bread to take home -Mmmmmm good!
We'll certainly be coming back regularly. I can't wait to try more items on the menu and get lunch too!
P.s. I'd have posted a picture but I devoured my Eggnog French Toast so quickly, I didn't have time to take the pic ;-)

Food was fabulous! Best green chili I've had. The ONLY shortcoming (and this may not be any sort of issue for others) ... it is pretty noisy ... we were in a small rear room and conversation from other diners seemed to echo and amplify. This is sure not going to keep me away, however. Not from Ft Collins, but have business there periodically ... this will be a breakfast stop, for sure.

STAFF IS AMAZING!! Myself and coworker stopped by for brunch before work. Very busy time EVERY staff memeber spoke to us and reassured us thwy would be right with js We were told by Gene the wait would be about 10min we were hesitant of the wait because of our schedule but accepted. We were seated in about 2min! Cayden was our sever who was awesome. Gene even came back to check how we were doing on time. AMAZING! will definitely be back.
