Cozy breakfast place! They have their own hot sauces which are tasty.

The building itself is pretty neat and the booths are comfortable, but the food is pretty hit-or-miss and the service is more miss than hit. I enjoyed the cinnamon rolls and the beverages but the Benedicts we had were not for us
Overall, I would suggest this place with caution; if you are local to the area and you really want some decent diner food, this might be a good stop for you. For everyone else, I would suggest going elsewhere.

We had a hit of nostalgia and decided to go to breakfast at the Bluebird Cafe for the first time in YEARS. I’m not much of a breakfast person but I’m so glad we went! It was just as described on their website from the food to the atmosphere. I had read about its history and how it’s always been owned and operated by employees throughout the years since it’s opening in the 80’s. We were even fortunate to have Inky, the current owner, as our server 😀. Food was amazing, not greasy nor super salty like most breakfast places are and you could tell everything was homemade as stated on the menu. A much appreciated blast from the past and I am so glad we went! Thanks Inky and staff!

Eggs Benedict was very dry (ham) & garlicky. I think it was the hollandaise, not sure why they would even put garlic in a hollandaise sauce but I couldn’t handle it.
Pancake was good but I wish they had real syrup.
The B & G was heavy on the sage or fennel, something was too overpowering. Home fries were good.
The flavor profiles were not for me or my family and that is saying a lot because we love bold flavors. I would say that we may go back and give this place a second chance but that would be on a day that I want to take a gamble. This place just has weird flavors in places they don’t belong.

Always a go to with visitors, or hung over. This place has been a true staple in my time during college and summers with friends. I will always order their macadamia coffee and their breakfasts skillets. Worth the wait if you ever have to wait but if you go early enough no need to wait.
Food was very good but the eggs for Eggs Benedict were small. Cinnamon roll, way too heavy on the icing on top and throughout. Dough was very dense.

What a great find. This little gem is worth a visit. Had breakfast here . Food is wonderful . Portions are large - be forewarned. Make sure to ask for the homemade jam - we had raspberry vanilla. To die for.

What a fun little treat to have stumbled upon! We were there over student move in week so there were mostly families. We arrived around 9:30 a and there was no wait for a table, though there was a short wait by the time we 45m later. Service was attentive without being over-bearing and food was delicious. We loved the Suduko puzzles available upon our arrival!

They did have a wait but it is right by CSU. There was parking in the neighborhood. Daily specials, friendly staff, they had a wheel chair ramp and bathroom but the bathroom was cozy.

Quaint and cozy. Great food, perfect portion sizes, and lots of special homemade touches like the jam. We’ll be back.

Our server, Laura, was really attentive and a great server all around!
The salmon benedict and scramble could both use more salmon, but still tasted very good. Their house-made hot sauce was mellow but was a nice addition to the food. The blueberry coffee cake was super tasty and it was really moist and a good level of sweetness.
Definitely a worthwhile breakfast place right next to campus.
