We had a hit of nostalgia and decided to go to breakfast at the Bluebird Cafe for the first time in YEARS. I’m not much of a breakfast person but I’m so glad we went! It was just as described on their website from the food to the atmosphere. I had read about its history and how it’s always been owned and operated by employees throughout the years since it’s opening in the 80’s. Eggs Benedict was very dry (ham) & garlicky. I think it was the hollandaise, not sure why they would even put garlic in a hollandaise sauce but I couldn’t handle it.
Pancake was good but I wish they had real syrup.
The B & G was heavy on the sage or fennel, something was too overpowering. Home fries were good.
