Google really needs to include negative stars. I would give this place a minus 5. Don’t bother with an online order the web tracker is ignored by them and in spite of having to give them my email and phone number they don’t call anyone when orders are ready for pickup. The place was empty and only two employees were there both in the back room together and had no idea anyone had come in. I called twice loudly before one girl and a young kid came out together. It seemed obvious that whatever they were doing back there had nothing to do with the business of food preparation. They simply stated that they don’t call customers to tell them when their orders are ready. When I told them I would file a complaint I got a snotty reply of go right ahead. Obviously whatever they are paid isn’t enough to get them to care.
Please save your automated canned responses to reach out at [email protected] since I have already done that which only proves you don’t bother to read those either.

i ordered a pulled pork plate, when i got back home, i discovered they had given me dry turkey. when i called the restaurant, the kid working reached out to his manager, who said “well the order should’ve been right” and refused to issue a refund. clearly, it was not right. i live in wellington and was not keen on making a 45 minute trip to town and back. this is not the first time i’ve had a problem with this dickey’s in particular. for example, when you order online they have a section to order red bull, but never have them available in house and don’t call the customer beforehand to let them know that they’ll be getting a fountain drink (cheaper than the red bull). staff is often uncaring and unwelcoming, even though the restaurant is often empty. spend your money elsewhere.

Restaurantji Recommends
My family and I just spent $120 at this establishment and I can 10 of 10 NOT recommend spending your money here. Upon entering we were met with bad attitudes and stares like "Oh, God, why are these people coming in"? Keep in mind this is three hours before closing. The young lady behind the counter was rude and every time we asked her something nicely she would respond with "what" in this condescending tone, like we were inconveniencing her (we were the only customers). The food was mediocre at best. The brisket was cut the wrong way if it was even cut at all. I basically paid for a pound of stringy roast beef thrown into the bottom of a box and not even cut. Chicken that was dry and tasteless, sausage that was overcooked AND BURNT. Not to mention the fact that all of the meats had to be taken out of saran wrap before they were haphazardly thrown into a box. The ribs, which are tasteless, by the way, still have the God awful membrane stuck to the back of them. What kind of barbecue establishment still leaves the membrane on the back of their ribs? The young man behind the counter literally picked a gallon jug of cold barbecue sauce up off the floor to fill my barbecue sauce cup up. Granted in his defense his demeanor and attitude was a lot better and he actually treated me, for at least a fraction of a second, like a paying customer. I will be sure to tell my friends family and co-workers to avoid this place at all costs. Go down the road to Smok barbecue or Texas barbecue, where they actually treat their customers nicely and actually know how to cook barbecue. 9/11/24
