I went for breakfast with a large group (8 of us). Two friends ordered eggs Benedict and both orders came with cooked-through poached eggs, fully cooked yolks. When my friends asked for runny poached eggs as we've always seen eggs Benedict, the server said that's how they cook them at their restaurant but would bring out new ones if they wanted, as if my friends were the ones being picky. That exchange was awkward but the serving sizes for the price is hard to beat....
Service was awesome! We came while driving through and our waitress was sweet and attentive even though they were getting busy. I got chocolate pancakes while my partner got the country fried steak. We had deliciously large portions and the ambience was friendly. I could tell this place had alot of regulars which is always a great sign.
Doug's is one of our favorite breakfast places in Fort Collins. The food is always delicious and the portion sizes are nearly enough to feed you for the whole day! The staff has always been friendly and prompt, never having to wait for refills or waiting to order for more than a couple of minutes.
