While the food was very good, as was the service, we were a bit disappointed in the variety of fish on the menu. We understand that it very seasonal, and we enjoyed the evening. We will,be back.

Excellent service and great food. We enjoyed some happy hour appetizers. The entree salmon was delicious. We'll be back!

We go to Jax on a regular basis. Last night I didn't feel like drinking anything alcoholic, so I ordered iced tea. I asked for sugar. It took literally 15 minutes for the waiter to bring a ramekin of sugar. Apparently this is the only restaurant in existence that doesn't have sugar packets.

Excellent, as always. Good fresh oysters and seafood. Service and Saturday ambience were just right.

The halibut was absolutely outstanding. Among the best fish dishes I have had worldwide. Two suggestions: one, upgrade the quality of the peel and eat shrimp to as before and price the dish higher if needed, and, second, restrict children from sitting at the bar top. Overall one of my favorite spots.

This restaurant used to be outstanding, It is not anymore in my opinion. The 4 scallops I got for $45 were just mediocre. They tasted a bit slimy and undercooked . The chop salad was good but smothered in bluecheese so you should really like wet lettuce. My hubby's sirlion was cooked to medium rare which was good but it was chewy and didn't feel or taste like a quality piece of beef that should have melted in his mouth and the amount of underling potatoes was skimpy. Our waiter seemed uninformed about the crab I was asking about that went into the "not Maryland" lump crabcakes and made me feel embarrased when I said I didn't know what method was used to cook their crabcakes (a flat grill of sorts). I dunno. I think there are better food options out there.

Great meal on patio, lovely staff. Wine and appetiser was good, entrees of the crab and the halibut dish were great but temperature on both could have been a lot hotter. Nice to eat on patio in the nice weather as seemed noisy inside.

Another great meal at Jax! Always the best food and service. Our server, Hunter, was fantastic. Highly recommend the the seafood chowder! It's sooooo good! We also enjoyed the halibut and the lobster/shrimp roll served hot, Connecticut style. If you want a great seafood meal, you can't go wrong at Jax.

This was our first visit to Jax - everyone working there is friendly and helpful. Drinks are very good, food was very good as well - although the gelato/sorbet desert was the star. The restarant is comfortable.

Excellent food as usual. Recommend the miso salmon, best I've tasted. Oysters are outstanding!

Not a great night at Jax's. I had made reservations a week ago and specifically requested a low table. We arrived on time and were seated at a high table, scrunched in the path from the kitchen to the dining area. The raw oysters were warm and tasted off and one shell had the smallest oyster that I have ever seen. Our server was frazzled and didn't seem to have support staff help.

Our 1st time dining here and very much impressed! It was an early dinner prior to going to airport so it was nice to enjoy a good meal! So happened to be happy hour so we did enjoy that along with entrées of scallops and crab cacio peppe which were delicious! Will be back!
