Best Hibachi in Ft. Collins!

Surprisingly, this was the best Hibachi I've ever had.

Food was excellent, chef was super friendly, and the food was more than incredible!

We will definitely come back again!

Food somewhat bland but the atmosphere makes up for it

The food was great. Service was awesome. Our waitress Cindy was quick, polite and really fun to chat with. Recommend this place!

We spent 137 dollars here tonight on my family of 4 and we have gone here many times as this WAS our favorite place amd tipped 15 percent. on our way out the waitress came up to us very much demanding more money for the tip! unbelievable! They have always been nice staff to us and its why we always came back , we literally drive 53 minutes to this restaurant for their food and service and we will never come back and share our horrible experience with everyone. If your demanding the exact amount your tip should be then thats not a tip at that point. So distasteful, and I went on Google to share this review as well and came across several other bad reviews for this reason! if your business wants the staff to get a certain amount of tips then add it in your already high as hell meal prices. To stop my family on their way out the door like that was insane!

We have eaten here so many times and actually drive an hr to eat here and tonight was a very embarrassing awkward situation. We paid for our 130 dollar meal and tipped 15 percent and as we were leaving they actually confronted us to pay more of a tip! Good lord. If the tip amount is demanded is it even a tip anymore?! So rude and now we wont come back. And this was our favorite place. If a tip amount is required it should just be in the price at that point. Distasteful and rude. Now the staff was no rude at all and always have been so polite. Just that moment of walking out was so wrong.

I normally don’t write reviews, and I almost never complain about restaurant policies—but I had such a disappointing experience here that I feel compelled to share.

I came in with my kids (both under 4 years old) and ordered one adult meal and one kids meal for them to split. I was aware of (and fine with) the $5 fee for splitting an entree, and expected it to apply to the adult meal. What I didn’t expect was to be charged for three adult meals, with no notice until the check arrived—and then told that “we don’t allow kids meals to be split,” as if that had been clearly communicated beforehand. It hadn't.

This outing was meant to be a treat—a special experience—and I came ready to pay a premium for that. But between the already high prices, the $5 sharing fee, the automatic 18% gratuity, and then being charged for something I didn’t order, it felt more like being taken advantage of than treated as a guest.

To make matters worse, after the 18% gratuity was added, the receipt still included a prompt asking for an additional 15–20% tip—creating the appearance that no tip had been left at all. That kind of upsell might work on people who aren’t reading closely, but it left a bad taste in my mouth.

When I asked to be charged only for what I ordered—two meals, not three—I was met with defensiveness, not accountability. The manager came out ready to argue, which made an already uncomfortable moment feel even worse.

I always tip, and I respect restaurants setting boundaries around sharing or pricing. But those policies need to be transparent and communicated before the food is served—not tacked onto the bill and defended with hostility. I left feeling frustrated and embarrassed, when all I wanted was to give my kids a memorable night.

I had a host her name was Kylee she rolled her eyes at me and genuinely was the rudest person I’ve met she smelled and would not help. Do not go here

Geat food and a fun chef. The kids really enjoyed the place. Very friendly staff. Would have rated it a 5 if the windows and the service equipment would have been cleaner. Looking forward to our next visit.

I Went here for my birthday and I can't express how great it was. The food was amazing and the service was exceptional, and very entertaining. I had a sushi appy and then the steak and shrimp. Sure it's a little pricey but worth it for the experience and I had so much left overs it fed me for days after! Will definitely be back again and again

We LOVE Masa Hibachi! From start to finish, this place is always amazing. We usually sit at the bar instead of doing the hibachi tables, and it’s still such a great experience. The sushi is always super fresh and so good, and the vibe at the bar is really relaxed and fun. If you do the hibachi, though, it’s a blast—perfect for a fun night out or celebrating something special.

The lunch specials are a steal—great portions and flavors, and you can’t beat the price. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming. Wendy and Michael are the absolute best! They make us feel right at home every time. Masa has even become a Christmas tradition for us. It’s the one place we know we’ll go every year, and it’s always something we look forward to.

If you’re looking for great food, great people, and a great atmosphere, you can’t go wrong with Masa Hibachi. It’s easily one of our favorite spots in Fort Collins!

This is the absolute worst restaurant I have eaten at in Fort Collins I got the chicken lomein and I’m not even exaggerating when I say it had no taste it’s like they just threw noodles and dry chicken in a box with no taste and I got the crab ragoons they had no filling inside just a fried shell with very little filling I will never eat here again. If you are in the mood for lomein never go here!!

Made a reservation on Christmas Eve, ended up having to eat at home because they did not honor the reservation time and had us wait over an hour. We had family members working early the next day so could not afford to wait, especially for a reservation we made weeks ago. If you cannot honor a reservation within a 30 minute window then don’t have reservations at all. Very disappointing, will not be returning.

I had a reservation for my birthday for about a month and unfortunately my birthday is Christmas Eve. However, we had a reservation and I didn’t think that would be a problem- apparently it was. We were told it would be nearly a 2 hour wait and were told we could wait for a regular table rather hibachi table. I talked to the host and asked why is it still that long of a wait when I have had a reservation- but instead the hostess made me feel it was my fault it was busy. She repeated its Christmas Eve, and I stated I’m well aware of that- but I have a reservation and she asked if I made it last min. I told her no, it’s been about a month. She was so rude and unprofessional explaining it doesn’t matter if I have a reservation it’s still going to be a long wait because they’ve been booked since 4pm and it’s now 6:30 pm. Me and my party walked out as she was so rude and it was unbelievable that I had to wait another 2 hours when I’ve had a reservation for my birthday for a month now. This wasn’t a last minute decision. I have never been there and will not plan to ever go back.

Clean, great menu, date night and family friendly!
The only sushi restaurant in Northern Colorado that we have found with truly a full bar and a menu for all!
