Mount Everest. I have lived here most of my life and have not been into this cafe prior to last week. Prices were fair. And service was okay though kind of slow. When I was in there was only a couple of tables and it seemed to take a long time for our server to get to us or come back to us. When she did come by though she was friendly. My husband ordered the buffet. He thought it was good though he thought there was not really many options up there. But what he did have was tasty. I ordered a curry. There menu is not labeled for dietary needs so we were needing to ask. But the waitress did not seem to positive. The curry i got though was gluten free and vegan. It was tasty. While I thought the overall experience was okay and the food was good I would likely not come back unless we were asked to go back by friends. It wasn't somewhere I would choose to go on my own.

My spouse and I dined at Mt. Everest Cafe last night for dinner. We arrived around 7:30 and got the buffet. I also got an iced chai and my spouse got a hot chai. The buffet trays were almost empty when we arrived and stayed almost empty for the roughly 40 minutes we were there. We noticed that it looked pretty sparse when we came in but we figured since it was a hour and a half before they closed, and there were several other groups of people, that the buffet would be refilled. But most of the dishes weren't. They refilled the naan twice, the samosas once, and the chicken tikka got refilled after about half a hour when it had no chicken in it at all when we arrived. All of the food was also so cold that we felt it could be risky to eat it, especially the shrimp which was at least room temperature, as was the tandoori chicken. Everything was cold except the fresh samosas and naan. My iced chai didn't taste like anything except dirt. My spouse's hot chai was pretty good and tasting his made me wish I'd gotten it hot but I had no way to know that mine would be so lackluster. We left hungry because there simply was not enough food and it was cold. It was a waste of $50. We will not be going back.

Super slow service. Restaurant opens at 5 and we got there after 5:30 but, not all the food at the buffet was ready yet. Very disappointing. Won’t go back. Naan was good though.

I always love the food here. It's pretty slow paced and that works for me.

The food is amazing and at a very good price, ya the service is lacking but it’s never busy enough to be a problem, I love the restaurant and go all the time!

We eat here occasionally because their food is very good. However the atmosphere is only acceptable and their service is never very good. Today was our last time eating here because of their of very poor service. The place was empty, but they wanted to seat us next to the only other customer. They never greeted us, checked on us, or thanked us. We had to go to the counter to get our check. When I gave them my AMEX card all she said was "another card". I told her we have always paid by AMEX and the door has AMEX on it, all she said was "another card." Star of India is 10 times better than this place.

This is one of my favorites in town, especially when it's cold out. The homemade stew is excellent, naan is amazing, and the buffet is always filling with great variety.

I used to go here ages ago. Maybe I’ve changed or the food has. Not bad just not as good as I remember.

My husband often says, "if I could only eat one kind of food for the rest of my life it would be Mt Everest Cafe" and I agree. So good!

We love coming here!! Sonam is very nice and the food is bomb. Buffet is fresh and has all the variety you'd want, I cannot even DESCRIBE how good the samosas are. This spot seems very slept-on in FoCo but it's totally worth it! I would love to see it get busier in here ☺️Kid-friendliness: Easy kid options available on menu andWheelchair accessibility: Door mat be slightly tight turn but the paths between tables are wide

Terrible. Empty food bins. Not hot. Didn't replenish food. Will never ever go back. Should have at least discount their bad food since half was missing. Don't go!

I wouldn’t recommend dining at this establishment. I ate there for lunch and we had a few issues with our experience. First and foremost, we saw an employee, leave the bathroom without washing their hands, and immediately go touch the handle of the serving utensil on the buffet. Second, they charge for everybody in the party, whether or not they’re eating. Example, I have two small children and I had to pay for them even though one of them literally wasn’t eating since they’re an infant and the other one was 18 months and barely ate any food. Third the buffet line was not stocked adequately or regularly. During our duration of an hour in the facility, we had to wait for at least three things on their small buffet at any time. By the time we left, we had just made do with what was on there, and was ready to leave after we saw the employee in the bathroom, not wash their hands and go and touch stuff on the buffet line. Fourth they keep a motorized vehicle inside their restaurant. This vehicle has clearly been outside prior to being inside. It’s a shame I’ve been dining at this establishment off and on since 2011 and unfortunately it just seems to be going downhill for years now.
