Visiting Social was an experience, not just a stop for drinks. They have an excellent crowd control system that makes the speakeasy feel exclusive. Staff were friendly and had wonderful recommendations. Food and drinks came quickly despite the speakeasy being packed.

Long (a decade) fans of Social. Have raved about it to everyone looking for a place to celebrate any occasion or just a chill and exceptional place to grab a drink downtown. We don’t think of anywhere else to go when the destination is “cocktail”. And there are plenty of other options in Fort Collins. But no one else seems to really have the stuff. My husband and I had our very first date here, we have our favorite place to sit if we can snag it. We had our favorite waiter “Lee” he hasn’t been spotted in quite some time but all the other waitresses and waiters are always top notch not a gripe to be had. The bartenders are excellent and talented in not only their concoctions but their presentation and execution. Watching them make drinks while sitting at the bar is a treat. The vibe is prefect and I hope they never redecorate. It holds so much Nostalgia for us and our relationship to going there. I enjoy the drink menu rotations and appreciate they keep an archive of their old drinks we love so we can order them even when not on the menu. I keep notes in my phone of ones I’ve loved. I recommend Romancing the Stone, Bees Knees, Tom Collins, and their Gin and Tonic. We’ve brought many people here visiting from town or in the area that haven’t had experienced it yet. It’s always a delight to do double dates here. It’s busy but not in a way you can’t connect with your pals. Not too loud or too dull. Also have had awesome interactions with other people just out at date night themselves.
Now to the part that I wish was still how I’ve remembered it. I have a hard time complaining about something and was disappointed that it wasn’t just a “this time it was different” thing. We’ve been back a few times in the last couple months and the food has changed, more specifically the Salmon Pate. Our stable since our first trip together in 2015. It used to be generous on the salmon. The dip was perfectly pink and color and had medium chunks of salmon inside. The first time I noticed a difference I just thought it wasn’t mixed properly. It was very heavy on the cream cheese. It was a salmon dip before not a cream cheese with salmon essence. Then the second time the same. Far less salmon than before and very bland large chunks of cream cheese. I would GLADLY pay more if it’s a cost saving move to spread the salmon further. It’s now where it’s obviously this is intentional with the large globs of cream cheese left unmixed or really mostly lack of salmon. If supply issue, it’s been months and no improvement. If it’s a change in food prep or chef they lost something in the transfer of recipe because it was PERFECT and now it’s not even good enough to finish. It’s just not the same and I’m sad that Ive had to question ordering it. I guess the next time I’m in and ordering I’ll ask to speak with someone. I just kept thinking oh it’s just not fully mixed or they are short on salmon. I will pay for what i remember even if it means increasing the price by dollars. I’ve considered learning to make it at home just to get the satisfaction back but I know I couldn’t get it as good as you’ve had it. I really doubt I’m the only one who noticed the lack of salmon in the salmon dip. I hope this review helps. I never thought I would ever be writing this much about a dip in my life. I find that hilarious but you guys killed it and I’m just feeling like when I go there I expect what brought me back each time. I will continue to recommend Social and plan to come for my favorite cocktails and hopefully something will be done about my beloved dip.
