We went to Sonny's for Great Plates. We have always enjoyed the prime rib. This time it was awful. Stringy, chewy and impossible to cut. Dull steak knives didn't help. Great service by Jonathan. Caesar salad was fair. Good Pinot Noir. Won't return.

Went with four friends for Great Plates. Four of us had prime rib and one had salmon. All were great and I particularly enjoyed horseradish cream offered with the beef. Four people also enjoyed the butter cake and crème brûlée. Great service, nice ambiance. Glad to support Great Plates with such a nice destination!

We have been here before and loved it I think that’s why I’m so disappointed. My steak was very undercooked, which was disappointing for a steakhouse. We had a reservation at 7 we’re not seated till 7:25 then didn’t get service for a while after. When we were seated it was in a cramped area an arms length from other tables. This was supposed to be a big celebration for my 25th birthday ending up to be an extremely big disappointment. An experience one at that.

Went for a birthday celebration and the entire staff made me feel like royalty with their kindness and genuine well wishes for a wonderful birthday celebration! The food was outstanding, from the warm sourdough bread to start, with our delicious entrees (salmon, prime rib), the dessert and even our cocktails - no detail was overlooked. It was impressive, top-quality, prepared perfectly and out of this world delicious! I highly recommend Sonny Lubick's!

The food was good but we were brought the wrong dish. For the price of the meals, it feels that more should have been done to rectify the situation.

Really enjoyed celebrating our 45th anniversary at Sonny Lubicks. Wonderful food and drinks, able to maintain conversation and great service. Our waitress Tatiana was quite friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely return again for our special life celebrations!

We have dined at Sonny Lubick Steakhouse a number of times, typically on Valentine's Day. This year, we couldn't make it on the 14th but visited on the 15th. I'm afraid I was a bit disappointed. The potatoes (I believe they were au gratin) were on the dry side, and the rare ribeye that I ordered was not evenly cooked--mostly it was the rare I ordered, but it was cooked to the point of being dry in one portion. Also, the service was slow. We arrived at 6: 25 and were seated in a timely manner per our 6:30 reservation, but the slow service resulted in the meal taking two hours to finish. I will say that often on Valentine's Day they place tables too close to each other, and this year we had more room. That was an improvement. I love the restaurant, and I hope the negatives were a one-time event.

Great Valentines experience, food was excellent, wait staff were great, overall a great time, will definitely come back. Only downside is the price is a bit high but the quality is definitely there to justify it

The restaurant had a pleasant ambience. Tables were fairly close yet we were able to visit and we were not disturbed by other guests. The meals were priced as we expected but quality was just acceptable except for the prime rib which was less than rare as confirmed by the manager. The offer was made to make the prime the correct temperature. The “Old Fashioned” with Blanton's was excellent; they have an excellent bourbon library. Dessert was a delicious butter cake and vanilla ice cream. Service was very good.

The food was prepared to the perfect temperature, and it was delicious. Our server Richard was attentive and helpful making the evening a pleasant one to remember. We ordered the chateaubriand which is usually available if you alert them a few days in advance. Highly recommended.

A lovely evening with great food and terrific service from knowledgeable staff. The menu is not huge, but it is well thought out and it is overall a very classy steak house. Great for a special evening.

Ribeye was over cooked then they took my food back and my partner had to wait for their food. Then we got to check with no discount service was good but it took forever.

This was our second visit because the first one was so great. This time was a little different. We waited about 1.5 hours to get our entrees and hardly saw our waitress. They could be short staffed since we also noticed other guests waited a long time for their items and tables were left unbussed for extended periods of time. They tried serving my husband burnt potatoes with his ribeye. Half of them were clearly black. The ribeeye and NY strip were cooked to the perfect temp, and I love the brussel sprouts. It just felt like a lot of waiting around when this was supposed to be a special birthday dinner. I'd given them another chance.
