The tea was lovely and in a beautiful space atop the Elizabeth Hotel. We had some trouble finding the lounge when we were sent up the guest elevator by the front desk, with no direction. We got off on the 5th floor to find guest rooms and hallways but no signage as to where the lounge was located. I have been there before, but we used a dedicated elevator by the Magic Rat and apparently that elevator was not in service, so they sent us up to fend for ourselves. We ran into other guests wandering the halls and someone finally came out of an unmarked door to direct us inside. We made it. The set up was nice and the lounge seating was roomy and comfortable. There were 4 teas offered, and we tried 3 of them, all delicious. We ordered a bottle of sparkling rose that was also nice. The food offerings were decent but would have loved more of a tea sandwich or more substantial bites. They did have 2 types of scones with 2 spreads, 4 small savory bites and 3 dessert bites. Again, it was all pretty good (not the liver pate, it was very gamey) but would have loved a little more substance in the savory offering. We spent nearly 2 hours enjoying the view and the piano player. I would recommend this tea for the ambiance and views for sure.

Beautiful view. Food and tea were delicious. Service was friendly and attentive. Pianist played beautifully. Worth the price when compared to tea at other places.

We went for afternoon tea to the sunset lounge and I agree with other reviews, it was overpriced and it under delivered. We love afternoon teas and were excited to have one more local. The view is amazing and the waitresses were lovely but there was very little food for the price. We barely had any space to eat or drink and the seating is super awkward for tea. They had to go out for milk and you don’t get a pot of tea for your table, both red flags for afternoon tea. Also we were there for a birthday and they didn’t do anything to make it special like all other tea places? So disappointing. We won’t be back.

I did not order any food. I went for a friend's band. What a great little venue.

The Sunset tea is nice, but today's food was not quite up to the price tag: all of the bread and baked goods were dry. When you compare this tea to that of the Brown Palace, the Sunset is more expensive, they do not give each person their own pot of tea, and they only provide one serving of food. For the money, The Brown Palace's tea is a better value ( although you do have to pay for parking). I'd love to see the Sunset adjust to provide comparable services. It's a beautiful venue and a lovely option for those of us who like to stay local.

Since we're new to the area, I've never been to the Sunset Lounge for cocktails but am planning on doing so in the future, it's a lovely view and perfect setup for that. However, Sunday high tea was a bit disappointing. It was a long line to get in to be seated, the cocktail tables were awkwardly low and small, the talented piano player was entirely too loud for the space/setting (we were seated right next to it and had to shout or squeeze next to each other to be heard), the service was pleasant and professional but terribly inefficient (our cups were empty more often than full because they had to ask what we wanted and refill one cup at a time) all of which came in at a pretty steep price point. This could be fantastic with just a few tweaks: staggered reservation times, set up some room service carts and leave teapots at each table, work with local bakeries and food vendors to increase the quality and variety of the food (it was decent but not fantastic). Right now, though, it's just meh. EDIT: I also included in my reservation that this was a birthday celebration. It would've been a nice touch to at least have had the server acknowledge this, or better yet do something a little extra- a mini cake or cupcake, a mini gift bag, even a drink coupon for another visit, etc. Not necessary, but would've made a lasting impression.

The atmosphere, food and service was impeccable . Anna tied this all together with a masterful knowledge of cocktails.

The small tray of food we received for four people included 6 tea finger sandwiches, three parfait things and 6 scones. Food was dry and tasteless. They had three tea selections and only one herbal (we were there for a baby shower). Tea was delicious, too bad we kept having to hunt down the servers for refills and milk and sugar. They would not leave our own pot. If you like an overview of just college town then you'll love it. Very dissatisfied with the overall event given the price. Not worth it in my opinion. Best to do your own high tea at home.

Shocked when the bill came for high tea. $55 per person when we thought it was per tray!!! Nothing high-end or especially wonderful. Where’s the salmon, tartare, pate, caviar at those prices?!? Disappointing Mother’s Day, we will not make that mistake again.

We had so many mixed feelings about this experience. We have down afternoon tea all over the world and we're looking forward to this for over a month. The four of us had to share a tray of very small but creative food options. We left in search of more food. They do not leave the pot of tea at your table but walk around and refill, tea at first was not steeped enough nor hot or even warm. Only two people working with a full room so it took sometime to get a tea refill. The cocktails were great and the staff was super nice and sweet; just felt bad that they had to work so hard. It's silly but the chairs and couches are uncomfortable for tea and eating. The views were beautiful. It just came down to $55 a person for cold tea and one mouthful of food, I would say not worth the price.

Extremely disappointed the more we think about it! $55 per person for that mediocre tea tray...27 pieces with no high-end items whatsoever. We thought there had to be a mistake. It was absurd to charge that for three of us to share one tray. Mother's Day event was a flop.
