Drake in the drive through was super friendly & patient with us. This was our first visit & he gave great recommendations & even gave our puppy a dog treat at the window. The company is lucky to have him.

Here's what I found out about this particular Taco John's and the Taco John's in Loveland Windsor and Greeley.
They are all ran by the same regional manager this regional manager has no respect for her employees I watched her while I ate and I heard her interviewa person who was coming into interview for just a regular job she offered them the general manager position at horsetooth then I further overheard the employee that was working at this Taco John's the working manager tell this person they're hiring you as a GM but you're really only just a regular employee they're going to expect you to work 80 hour work weeks without overtime and because you're grateful and you want the title of general manager and the access and you have all the responsibilities they're going to overwhelm you and then they're going to rob your bank they do this to all the new general managers.
And when I asked the manager about it I said I just overheard you talking to this person about this.
Why are you still working here and she said because I'm kind of stuck my rent is due in one week and I need my job and at least I'm getting hours I'm only making $17 an hour as a general manager I don't get overtime but I get all of the hours and that in itself pays my bills so yes I'm getting railroaded but it's better than nothing and it's hard to get a job but harder to get as many hours as I'm getting.
The reason that I'm writing this is because I got food poisoning from the food that I was eating there.
We waited 30 minutes to get our food and the manager was the only employee there working she was running the registers for the drive-thru for the dining room and she was putting the food together there was nobody else there and when I asked her about it she said that her employees don't show up and they train you as a general manager to be able to operate the entire store by yourself.
That's a requirement she said.
All this while the regional manager sits in the lobby observing and Typing on her computer while her employee flounders.
It blew my mind.
I'm not going to give you her name because she was working so hard all by herself and I can't be mad at her for the food poisoning cuz I'm sure there's a pile of dishes back there that she couldn't get to the place was dirty fingerprints everywhere it was pretty gross but I had paid for my food and I felt bad for her now I feel bad for me.
So there you have it folks I was in fort Collins on horsetooth next to the mall and now I can't go to work because I'm so sick from eating tacos with no lettuce and lots of sauce very little meat but lots of sauce and I think that the the sauce might have made me sick.
Thought about not leaving this review but I looked at the other reviews and I decided it's my responsibility to leave what I heard and what I seen.

The order is often wrong and unfortunately I order late so I never get a chance to have it fixed.
Also they seem to run out of all the basic stuff. No potatoes. No ground beef. No chicken. What the heck?

Malaki Is a great asset! It’s the little things in customer service that make the difference. Great interactions through the drive-through, excellent service!

We were told that they were out of lettuce. We said that was fine. We still figured the tacos would be good. When we got our tacos, they had a sliver of meat and a few pieces of cheese. Pathetic excuse for a taco. I figured they would throw a LITTLE extra meat or cheese to fill the taco a little more. We got sour cream and guacamole for the potato oles. I thought they'd just give us the dips for free since they were out of lettuce. Nope. This was the fourth time, in a row, that we've gotten TJ's and it's been garbage. This was likely the last straw for us. For the money and quality, we'll probably stick to Taco Bell from here on out.
Ran out of lettuce and ran out of ground beef I had a very thin taco.
ALWAYS OUT OF SOMETHING!!!
Clearly management isn't doing their part to keep items stocked in this location.
Whether it's Chicken, or Potatoes, it's always something. Ongoing issue for over a year now.
Very Frustrating
Decent food at a decent price. Definitely better than Taco Bell.
Not quite as good as it used to be. I drive all the way from Colorado Springs to go there and it wasn't up to par this time.
Restaurantji Recommends
went inside to avoid drive through line. waited over 30 minutes for one burrito. staff was rude and unprofessional. store was unkept, out of order, and unclean.
0/10. could get better service, better quality food, and better quantity of food at literally any other burrito place. would recommend anywhere but here. i’ve never really gone to taco john’s and i never will again after my experience today
Just sad
Great place! Good price!
I'm pretty disappointed by this place. My memories from back in the day in California had me feeling nostalgic and hoping for more. Oh well... lesson learned!
Unfortunately this is not a good day for that particular place and I can't remember when I went but they were very very short staffed. The food is still delicious
