Visited this place quite often during the Covid era as a friend lived nearby. My mom was visiting from FL and said friend suggested we eat there. The food and service were quite disappointing. We won't be coming back.

The tacos are amazing, but terrible value. It felt like I got an appetizer for 12.50-ish.

Edit: looking at pics it looks like I got way shorted on ingredients.

We were in Fort Collins to visit an old friend of mine. Around lunchtime, we were in downtown Fort Collins and were fortunate enough to find parking on the street.

After a small tour, through some of the areas, we decided on Vatos Tacos for something to eat. I've attached two pictures. One of the tacos, and one of the sitting areas, just outside of the restaurant - it's in a center area for several shops and eateries.

Being from San Antonio, I will note I probably should have asked what kind of tacos were being sold. For me, there are tacos, and then there are street tacos. Vatos sells street tacos, in my opinion. Street tacos are smaller than regular tacos.

The tacos and hot salsa are good. There is no doubt about it.

Enjoy your visit. I know I will be back if I'm ever in Fort Collins again.

Parking: Parking is available for free on the street, but you have to be lucky. Also, it is for 2 hours.

Do you love teeny tiny tacos that cost more than full sized tacos, and take twice as long to get? Well then, this is the place for you! Ity bity and room temperature is their specialty!

Super underwhelming. 3 bucks for a literal 2 bite taco, and the burrito... let's just say I've had better ones from gas stations.

The best word to describe this place: INCONSISTENT. Sometimes the food/service is fantastic and sometimes I wish I hadn't come. This morning was probably the worst service i've received to date- the 2 girls at the front working were being negligent to say the least...
If they're not super busy the food is usually MUCH better. I recommend the fried avocado taco and their queso.

In my humble opinion, the Vato Burrito was pretty meh. Very wet and the burrito is not cooked on a flat griddle to seal it so it can get messy quickly. Use the foil wrap to eat it out of to help hold it together. It's also more spicy than I expected, which isn't necessarily a bad thing as I like spice. Just be warned. My wife got the tacos and said they were tasty, but they looked pretty small to me. I could probably eat 3 and still be hungry.

I guess I was just spoiled with the Mexican places in Chicago or I have a different palette for Mexican food than what is served in Colorado. But this just didn't hit the spot for me.

Great Breakfast burritos! The breakfast burritos have Green Chili mixed with shredded potatoes and a protein. The Green Chili is a little spicy.

For as gentrified as this place is, the mango fish taco slaps. Also, the margarita cups are very fun, will be taking home.

This restaurant used to have great breakfast burritos. You paid a little more, but got a lot for it. They've completely shrunk their burritos and they're mostly tortilla now. Absolutely not worth the $7 you pay. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Good food, but the margarita pitchers are very misleading and it’s cheaper to get regular margs at the normal price. They said there was six in the two person option, but in reality we got 4 margaritas out of it and it was 45$, when the normal single ones are 8.50. Don’t waste your 11$
