This place used to be good, but I think the 4.3 stars that it currently has is deceiving. They served spoiled salmon to us for takeout. When we took the sushi out of the container, it emitted a strong rotten odor. We called the place to let them know it was rotten, and they insisted that we return to the restaurant with the sushi if we want a refund. My partner and her mom brought the sushi back to White Tree, and apparently the manager kept sniffing the sushi over and over, while mumbling about how the restaurant has been scammed before. They also claimed that the salmon couldn't be rotten because they'd been serving it to other customers--that logic doesn't really check out to me. Either way, I hope all of these other customers are safe and well after consuming rotten sushi. Anyway, the closest thing to a refund that we ended up getting was the manager reluctantly handing my partner's mom eight crumpled dollar bills for her trouble. Needless to say, we won't be returning to White Tree, and I recommend that you stay away if you care about your health.

Came here last Saturday for my birthday, and we loved it so much we came back this Saturday! Their lunch special is a pretty good deal as far as sushi goes, the fish is fresh, and they’re one of the few places we’ve been that has really good seasoned rice!!

This business serves rotten sushi and shames its customers.To start, I have never received such horrible customer service in all my life. And I had been a customer here for a few years spending hundreds of dollars.We ordered over $75 worth of food for take out, which included one order of the salmon nigiri. Upon getting home I opened the salmon and was immediately hit with a disgusting fishy odor, it was not fresh sushi. All 4 people at my house agreed it was not good and was not safe to be consumed. I decided to call and let White Tree know that the salmon wasn’t fresh. They then refused to refund me unless I brought it in. So I DROVE back with the fish and told them the same thing.The owner then comes and talks to me and opens the nigiri up and smells it. She kept smelling it multiple times and kept saying it was fine and that many people had eaten it that night. Let me tell you, IT WAS ROTTEN. The owner proceeds to shame us and kept smelling it over and over and saying it was fine. She initially wouldn't help us and kept talking about how weird things happen at the restaurant regarding customers and their sushi and that’s why we had to drive the rotten food back. We told her we had been customers here for years and have never had any issue with the food before. I didn’t understand why rotten $8 nigiri would cause all this trouble. Eventually she gave us $8 in cash as a refund, we did not get any tax that we payed back.I actually lived in Japan for 4 years and know what sushi should look and smell like. White Tree used to be one of my favorite places to get sushi since moving back from Japan.If they think serving this fish is fine, absolutely no one should be eating here.It’s extremely disappointing and insane that White Tree would rather have their $8 than a happy returning customer who pays $75 every time they went.Avoid at all costs.

Best sushi I have ever had in my life. The rolls are a big size in diameter, tasted super fresh and ingredients paired well together. The ambiance is romantic and cozy. Art work is wonderful, it appeared to me the artist is linked to the restaurant. Wonderful place for a date night or a low key but wonderful food for dinner. They also have lunch specials. For people who are not fans of raw fish, they have a lot of rolls with cooked food/ deep fried ingredients. Staff is friendly. Give this place a try!

First experience as part of a large group celebrating my granddaughter's college graduation. The attention to our group was stellar; the food was amazing and you got a self-described "hillbilly" from Missouri to eat a Japanese dish with chopsticks! Memorable and my only regret is we live 2,000 miles away.

Food is fresh and tasty. We usually do sushi here, but one in our group tried a bowl this time--all delish. It's an intimate atmosphere and child friendly as well. A fun addition: a robot delivers food!Dietary restrictions: Our gluten free person was able to find many options.Kid-friendliness: Several were there the times we've dined with our 6 and 11 yo grandchildren. Our server provided a tile for our 6yo to draw on while waiting.

If it were just up to the food I would give it a 4 or 5 star. We've been here a couple times now though and the service is always lacking. They have a robot that brings food to the tables and I think they hire less waiters because of it. There was only one tonight for the entire restaurant. He was great and was hustling but it was just too much for him and was impossible to meet the demand. Took forever to put our order in and get our check. Please hire more servers.
