Fuego Azteca Mexican Restaurant & Cantina

This is by far the best Mexican food in Frazier for the best price. I highly recommend the street tacos with steak (number 19 on the menu), avoid going on Friday night it was packed and I waited 45 minutes to get seated. Would recommend the LA Burra it's a burrito the size of a baby.

I ordered the carna asada plate with extra jalapeños on the side. The timely manner the food came out surprised me, they were a bit slower which is more of a surprise. I asked for the steak to cooked to medium rare (surely the only correct option) the steak came out tender and flavorful beyond than I expected. * cooked to the perfect medium rare/rare* The portions are generous and quality was beyond what I was expecting. I travel a lot for work and my go to at Hispanic restaurants is the carne asada plate. This experience at fuego azteca far outshines at least the past 5 places I have been to. Highly recommended I will be back. Cheers to the staff and cooks that made it such an enjoyable experience. 5/5

Food was average; not bad, but not the same as an average place in Houston; I had the special enchilada (chicken), but it only had one, though sufficient. Salsa and chips did not seem fresh. They DID have vegetarian items and staff was good. As someone else said, food was under seasoned; I added salt to some items (I rarely add salt when eating out).

FOOD POISONING. My brother and I ordered the fajitas. That night and through the next day we were both throwing up. I went to urgent care in Colorado Springs and was told I had food poisoning. Will never go back and do not recommend.

It was very busy but that's probably because it is high season and the food is soooo delicious! We loved the food. Their Mexican rice was excellent. Street tacos yummy, too. The service was very slow but worth the wait.

WE WENT IN AT 8:05pm because it said it closes at 9:30pm and we were staying across. The lady just said sorry closes

If you are a person of color do not go here they are prejudice and nasty, go to Pepe’s instead. I was completely ignored and had to stand at the bar like an idiot for 15 minutes when and ONLY when this couple walks in does the host not only clean the bar table , but served them salsa chips AND a drink. I had been sitting at the bar with filthy plates and cups from the previous people thinking she would come back to clean up. Wrong I had to physically remove the filthy plates and cups from me. Everyone continued to ignore me. Then the bartender serves them. They were served within 2 minutes of them sitting down. I got up and walked out. I’m disgusted. And if you can guess the couple were not people of color. I went to Pepe’s and was IMMEDIATELY treated like a person instead of a second class citizen, plus the food and margaritas are way better.🤷🏾‍♀️

By far the BEST Mexican food I’ve had in forever!!! My husband and I travel everywhere and this doesn’t compare to anything we’ve had in years! I’m still here at the restaurant writing this review that’s how good it is! Definitely a must! The people are so kind and such hard working people and the food is amazing!
