Great little spot in Frisco, certainly down with the Frisco prices (expensive). The food was pretty good; nothing out of this world, but we all still really enjoyed it. We were expecting just a bit better with the number of reviews and current 4.9 rating.

It was busy and we had to wait and sit outside when called. If you are good with that, then you will enjoy your time there. Coffee was good, meals were tasty and staff is friendly and attentive even in a busy atmosphere.

I choose this place based on the reviews and I was disappointed. Food was overpriced and not worth it to me. $13 for 3 pancakes and no side ? That's ridiculous. $19 for a breakfast burrito? $6 for a cup of hot chocolate? I'll take my money elsewhere. That's the problem with these small towns and trying to support local.

Butterhorn Bakery & Café is hands-down one of the best spots in Frisco! From the moment you walk in, the fun and quirky atmosphere sets the tone—walls full of playful signs, ski-themed décor (yes, there’s a skier coming through the ceiling!), and little touches like the kissing puppy salt-and-pepper shakers that make you smile.
Our waitress, Brittany, was phenomenal—attentive, upbeat, and so quick with everything. The place was bustling, but our food came out fast and piping hot. And wow, the food did not disappoint! The biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs and seasoned potatoes were hearty and flavorful, the frittata with melted cheese was pure comfort, and the pancakes sprinkled with powdered sugar (with a cloud of butter on the side) were light and delicious. Coffee was rich and kept flowing—served in their colorful mugs that match the bright, cozy vibe of the café.
This spot feels like home: great food, warm service, and a fun mountain-town atmosphere. Whether you’re fueling up for a ski day or just relaxing with friends, Butterhorn is a must. Ask for Brittany—she’ll make sure you’re taken care of!

We went here, my wife was sitting at a table with our dog outside and one of the server (don't know the name but was wearing glasses) closed the umbrella when it started drizzling little without even asking my wife. Then I came and she told us that we won't serve outside as it is raining heavily. The rain literally stopped in 4 minutes. We then decided to have breakfast at Bread+Salt just across the street. Highly recommend that place as the people there are very sweet and welcoming.

Excellent service. Consistently good food over the years its been open. Despite being on the street, the outdoor patio was pleasant. We ordered sandwiches, tasty with generous portions. The prices have gone up. Which I understand, the rise in minimum wages income has to come from the patrons in that business. It's typical resort pricing. It seemed like the most popular place for lunch. The selection of baked goods is is impressive as well.

We ordered our wedding cake from here and it was absolutely AMAZING! White cake with mountain berry filling. Eko was the best to deal with & made sure everything was perfect for our day. From delivering the cake to following up after to make sure we enjoyed it. 100% recommend! Thank you so much!!!!

Eko from Butthorn went above & beyond to make our wedding day perfect. He dropped our cake off at the restaurant to make sure it arrived safely & he even checked in after to make sure we enjoyed the cake. Our flavor was white with Mountain Berry filling. It was absolutely DELICIOUS. We could not have asked for a better wedding cake. Thank you so much!!
